1.0 out of 5 stars Too much hyperbole
The author overstates his case dramatically and does little more than engage in ideological polemics. But if you like that kind of stuff, buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Illegal Alien-Infested Mississippi, July 27, 2006

This review is from: Fighting Immigration Anarchy (Paperback)
A year ago I moved to Mississippi from California, where I was born and spent my entire life. I watched that state turn into a cesspool because of illegal immigration, and hoped for relief when I moved to Mississippi. Unfortunately, I was shocked and angered to see how many illegal aliens are everywhere in Mississippi, even in the rural areas and small towns, and the problem is rapidly getting much worse. New Orleans, which is only 110 miles south, has been overrun with illegals, along with the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Last fall we formed an organization to fight the invasion: Mississippi Federation for Immigration Reform and Enforcement. We have had successes but have a long way to go, thanks to our corrupt federal government that refuses to enforce our immigration laws. For those of you who think illegal aliens are not a problem where you are, don't hold your breath. It's spreading to every community like a cancer. Dan Sheehy paints a very vivid picture of what is happening to our country. I urge all Americans who care about their freedoms and quality of life to read Mr. Sheehy's book Fighting Immigration Anarchy so they understand the seriousness of the crisis and how to save our nation before it's too late.

5.0 out of 5 stars An indispensable book on the immigration crisis., July 31, 2006
This review is from: Fighting Immigration Anarchy (Paperback)
Daniel Sheehy has done a great service for interested and concerned citizens eager to come to terms with the immigration crisis that currently troubles our country.

Unlike so many academic tomes that examine immigration issues as if seen through a telescope by some distant observer, Sheehy's book employs a different approach.

The text shows the reader the human impact of massive, uncontrolled immigration through the eyes of concerned American citizens who finally realized that if something was going to be done, they were going to have to take the lead.

The personal stories of the subjects interviewed represent a welcome and long overdue counter-weight to the bulk of mainstream media stories on the subject which all too often focus on the plight of the migrant, and too rarely on the
displaced citizen.

Dan Sheehy has written a book that will appeal to the literally millions of Americans who thought they were alone with their unease and were unsure how to respond.

I prefer to borrow from the library most books that I read on immigration-related matters, but this one is definitely worth the price of purchase and a permanent place on my shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wide Awake Now!!!! (Los Angeles, California), August 17, 2006
This review is from: Fighting Immigration Anarchy (Paperback)
After reading Fighting Immigration Anarchy, I could not sleep for three nights. I kept thinking about all that I had learned from Daniel Sheehy's book about what is truly going on in my own backyard and in the rest of America. The book tells what our government and the mainstream media won't tell you about the seriousness of the illegal immigration crisis and how we are rapidly losing our country and quality of life. The book isn't just about what's wrong with our government's virtual open borders policy. The book mostly focuses on American citizen-activists of different races and ethnicities who have made a difference in the fight to preserve our borders and sovereignty. I have been truly inspired by these stories-I plan to get involved myself. This book has caused me to wake up and take notice!! I'm buying several more copies to give to my friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the patriots of the USA, August 9, 2006
This review is from: Fighting Immigration Anarchy (Paperback)
Daniel Sheehy has written on a very important and timely subject of unchecked illegal invasion into the USA. He writes about some of our greatest patriots to keep the USA a sovereign constitutional republic. D. Sheehy takes on the subject of merging USA, Canada, and Mexico into one region. Just like the EU with an open flow of goods and people (migration and erasing our borders).
I came as a LEGAL immigrant and had a medical check up, chest x-rays, small pox shot, and a criminal background check before entering. I did it the right and legal way when we were a nation of laws and I am upset that our government is allowing our nation to fall into a state of anarchy.
Get involved and read this book if you care about our country, language, and culture and do it before it is too late.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wake up, America!, August 21, 2006
By
True Seaborn (Los Alamitos, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fighting Immigration Anarchy (Paperback)
This book is both a warning and a tonic for those who have watched in helpless frustration and rage, wondering how to confront and reverse the process of Mexifornication extending from California and the other border states to the rest of the union. In IMMIGRATION ANARCHY, Dan Sheehy has presented the stories of several ordinary, decent Americans who realized the threat and -- earlier than the great bulk of their countrymen -- decided to get busy. These pioneers in the immigration reform movement had no special assets to bring to the struggle. They were not wealthy or powerful, and absent this threat most would probably have lived their lives in modest anonymity. Basically all they had were their patriotism, energy, and personal commitment. They are an inspiration to the rest of us, many of whom are just now waking up from our long slumber of habit, sloth, creature comfort, and multicultural indoctrination imbibed from the education establishment and mainstream media. Today, they and a few others like them have at last forced the issue to the top of our national consciousness, and they are making a profound impact on the national debate.

Sheehy's book also suggests answers for those of us who have been baffled, then impatient, and finally outraged and alienated by an administration in Washington that calls on Americans to shed their blood defending borders in Afghanistan and Korea, and attempting to establish national sovereignty in Iraq (whatever the justification for those efforts), while brazenly ignoring its Constitutional obligation to protect us from invasion at home. Sheehy, like other commentators such as Phyllis Schlafly and Jerome Corsi, points to the so-called Security and Prosperity Partnership (see SPP.gov) as a likely explanation for the Bush administration's foot-dragging on securing our borders.

As envisioned in the SPP, a unified North America -- essentially a practical expression of NAFTA -- would subsume the (currently) sovereign nations of Canada, Mexico, and the US into a single entity with no internal borders and a common perimeter. The union, also frequently described as the "North American Community," would nominally be economic, permitting the free movement of capital, goods, and people among the three countries. Labor would essentially be treated as just-in-time inventory throughout the three erstwhile "nations." But patriotic, commonsensical Americans like Sheehy, who treasure our Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights, believe economic union would soon morph into political union. If the Bush administration manages to drag its feet long enough on enforcing our immigration laws, the massive invasion of illegals will result in a de facto union. Regional, supranational government has long been the dream of elite leftists and global corporatists, for whom the nation-state is an archaic remnant of the 18th century.

Naturally none of the SPP agenda has been debated in Congress, and the mainstream media have, with one or two exceptions, ignored it. Sheehy's book will help force the nation to address it. Buy it, learn what the corporate media won't report, get inspired by the stories of what your fellow Americans have done, and join the battle. Time is running out.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant writer who obviously has done a great deal of research., July 26, 2006
This review is from: Fighting Immigration Anarchy (Paperback)
This is one of the most important books you will ever read. I encourage all Americans to read this book and become involved in the fight to stop our government's reckless and treasonous policies of open borders and so-called free-trade agreements. Daniel Sheehy's chapter titled "Bush and Other Elites Merging the U.S., Mexico, and Canada" is frightening and a must-read. It will tell you the real reason our government won't secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws. Read the book and get involved in the fight. Do it before it is too late and we completely lose our middle class, quality of life, common English language, freedoms, and our sovereign nation called America. If you won't do it for yourself, do it for your children and grandchildren!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's your Country, do you care?, July 26, 2006
This review is from: Fighting Immigration Anarchy (Paperback)
Daniel Sheehy is a highly competent and dedicated patriot. He brings to light the critical problems we face as a nation concerning illegal immigration. He has unique insight as to the destruction of America as we know it.

I believe Mr. Sheehy brings "new thinking" and is a voice that needs to be heard throughout America. Mr. Sheehy is refreshingly blunt, thoughtful and well informed. Every American needs to read this book as he lays out the dilemma with truthful clarity and deals brilliantly with a problem, if not resolved, will destroy our precious country. Simply put,
5 stars is not enough to rate this well thought out writing. Sheehy deserves better than 5 stars!

We see several new books about illegal immigration. They're very good, but this one is unique showing how real people - regular folks - emerge to take leadership educating the public and elected officials as to the magnitude of the problem. And very readable - each person's review reads like a short novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars As current as today's headlines, July 25, 2006

The governors of New Mexico and Arizona have declared a state of emergency at their border because of illegal immigration. Sheehy's book will reveal the broader picture of demographic warfare being waged against the U.S. by Mexico - aided and abetted by both political parties in a destructive competition for cheap labor and cheap votes.
It is not a pretty picture and will disturb the politically correct, but Sheehy's vignettes of these patriotic folks doing what their government is failing to do will provide encouragement to those depressed by what is happening.
