This is a totally BRILLIANT album that is destined to become an underground favorite in the years ahead. Pop fans will definitely WANT TO HEAR THIS ONE. "Fighting Trees" will easily end up being one of the best albums of 2008. The title track is killer...!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Some quick thoughts on this album:It is rare these days that I can listen to an entire album and not find a flaw or an off song. This album is full of fun, catchy, remain in your head gems. Try it, you'll like it. It reminds me of a combo of New Pornographers, Beatles, and Wilco. Must be destined for "best of" lists...

this album makes me happy. it moves forward with a steadfast pace, the sound is bright & significant. every song makes sense within the group and yet each still stands out on it's own... though i do have to admit - i particularly like "miles from our fears".

I love Fighting Trees. St Cecilia is probably my favorite song on the album, but honestly I like every song on here. I don't think I've ever played it for anyone who didn't like it. Buy it!

It's rare to listen to an album of "all killer - no filler" pop songs. The Swimmers achieve that feat on this tuneful collection of music gems. Fans of the Little Ones, Wilco, and Cinderpop will find plenty to like here. Just a buy the CD or download a copy here from Amazon, you'll be glad you did!
