5.0 out of 5 stars Best Saturn Fighter, May 11, 2003
By
This review is from: Fighting Vipers (Video Game)
Though graphicaly this game fails in comparison to what Sony and Nintendo were doing at the time, it still has some of the best gameplay in the fighting Genre. A well put together battle system, loads of special moves, and Kumachan make this game as good if not better that it's competetors like Tekken.

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

This is one of the most origional fighting games to come out on Saturn. Much like VF2, a cast of 11 characters, 3 buttons (punch kick guard)but with a twist, Breakable Armor!! Add to that the use of wepondry, some great fighting mecanics, alot of juggling potential & get this you can slam you oppents through concreate walls!! Each fighter is also has it's own personality, Rock Star, Skate Boarder, Military Chick,The token Chick Who Wears Next To Nothing, Roller Blader, Wrestler, Inflatable Panda Bear Etc. All of the areanas are caged so no cheap ringouts many other fighters have. Theres Also a team battle and training modes and let's not forget vs. where the game shines brighter then ever! The Downside? It's really easy. Then there is the whole dissapearing body part thing during some of the victory poses, but hey it's Saturn this problem is in every 3-D fighter the thing has, and it's really not that noticeable. In my opinion this game blows VF2 out of the water, However Fighters Megamix(which includes most of everything this game does and then some) is still a better fighter.

I am not a huge fan of fighter games, but this one is great. What makes it different than the rest, is the use of weapons and armor.

5.0 out of 5 stars the hardest and best fighting game ever., December 30, 2001

this game is easy to beat ,but there are over 700 moves to master and the only way you can get to fight with B.M.(final boss) is if you put it on the HARDEST mode without any handicaps or cheats you could have earned.(plus there is this dude called PEPSI MAN and he is stupider than the guy on the 7UP commercials is supposed to be).(he is also like DR.B. on TEKKEN 3.)
