Customer Reviews

There were a number of typos and lots of poor translations in this book.

It's just about the only book I can read which allows them fall right to sleep afterward.
chef mama
This book is helpful because it includes translations of the nursery rhymes.

I'm trying to brush up on my Italian, and teach my kids. So, I was lamenting not having learned more Italian songs/nursery rhymes as a kid. But was so pleased to find this book! It has several rhymes I have heard, from Nonna & parents, and many others that are new to me. My kids love it! It's just about the only book I can read which allows them fall right to sleep afterward. Stories are very sweet and soothing! It helps to have some Italian background to understand some of the stories.

wonderful book for children, has many of the traditional italian nursery rimes.
I found it to be very well illustrated, and properly written with no grammatical errors which I have found in other italian childen books.

This is a paper book, so not necessarily the best when baby wants to grab at it. The pictures aren't particularly artful. That said, there are few bilingual Italian-English books, particularly with nursery rhymes, so I gave it three stars for at least offering that for our reading time to baby. If you are looking for other Italian-English books, better options are Adriano, il Cane di Pompei - Hadrian, the Dog of Pompeii (Italian Edition) or the books in the My First Bilingual Book series, particularly, My First Bilingual Book-Colours (English-Italian) and My First Bilingual Book-Numbers (English-Italian). If you are looking for just Italian board books, Gallucci: Volevo UN Gatto Nero + CD (Small Board Book) (Italian Edition) is a great choice.

Bought this book for my daughter and husband. He speaks Italian, but I only know a little bit. This book is helpful because it includes translations of the nursery rhymes. they are quite catchy and my daughter likes to listen to them.

Although it's a fun book with Nursery Rhymes in Italian and translated into English...they are not your typical English Nursery Rhymes - some are a little strange when translated...although they make perfect sense if you are actually Italian :)

There were a number of typos and lots of poor translations in this book. I think the actual nursery rhymes are legit, but the english translations are poor and the illustrations are not all that lovely. Not worth the price for a flimsy paperback with so many errors in my opinion.
