Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Mini File-Folder Centers in Color: Reading and Writing (K-1): 12 Irresistible and Easy-to-Make Centers That Help Children Practice and Strengthen Important Reading and Writing Skills
Love this book, the activities for the mini folders are great. Most are simple but entertaining enough for my son to want to keep playing with them over and over again. The themes are varied, it even has a space theme(wich my son loves), it has a candy jar theme, frogs, etc. I like that the playing cards are small, but not too small. Love the fact that most of the centers can be laminated with only 1-2 laminating pouches. I made a center for my son to see how he reacted to the little pieces and game, but I glued them to letter size paper folded in half(looks more like a book)and it looked good. I would say that your weapon of choice for cutting these would have to be a x-acto knife and a cutting board, is just a cleaner faster cut, plus you don't want to ruin the black lines arround the pictures(specially the playing cards) wich are small and can bend or break when handled with scissors. Would recommend, fast delivery, product in excellent condition!
Picked this up for my four year old, who enjoys games of all sorts and is very comfortable with her letters and basic letter sounds. This was a great choice to expand on her skill set! The games are bright and attractive and simple to play! Very Engaging. Be warned some of the ones near the end of the book may be challenging for some first graders, and some at the beginning are easy enough even my almost three year old can participate!
this is a great resource to have...all I had to do was cut and glue on file folder, I used ust one file folder for the first few games...My 4yr old loves them and tries to do them on his own then has me check to see if he's right. reinforces what he is learning at school
