At Dayborne some of the executives get expensive perks. Some of them nice retirement packages. All of them would kill for a corner office. Now it looks like one of them has.
Cornelia is doing light typing and filing in front of the door belonging to Executive Vice President J. Abercrombie Davis. Which makes her a suspect when J. Abercrombie is found behind that door. Alone in a locked room. Murdered.
Lieutenant Victor Kosciuski is the homicide detective assigned to the case. He's good looking, he isn't married, and he's pretty sure Cornelia didn't do it.
He has plenty of other suspects: Brittany, the unhappy trophy wife; Nelson, the Associate Vice President who's next in line for Davis' wide mahogany desk; and the stranger who sends the unsigned letters that read "You won't get away with it," among others. In fact, he's having a hard time finding someone at Dayborne Ventures who didn't want Davis dead.
Victor has taken personal interest in Cornelia's health. That's good. Cornelia will need all the help she can get because there's still a murderer loose at Dayborne, and there's one more name on the killer's list: Cornelia's.
