Review

Dear Nora & Don,

I JUST finished setting up my FILE SOLUTIONS filing system and I have to tell you what an absolute rescue this has been for me. We're talking PILES AND PILES of mail- junk and bills! I couldn't find anything! The babies Social Security card came & I needed it for an account and I COULDN'T find it anywhere.

I've never seen a "filing system"...always needed one, but never knew they existed. Everyday I looked at the piles & I could've sworn they were doubling daily. So...step by step, I started working on your system.

The office is clean!!! YES!!! ...so is the dining room table, the counter tops, and every other clutter collector in the house!! Not a piece of paper in sight & it FEELS SOOOO WONDERFUL! I feel so free & ORGANIZED!!!

Now I can get ON with my life, in a more organized way than I've ever known. Thanks again, Sheri -- Reader Review

About the Author

Authors Don & Nora Donnelly researched hundreds of homes to bring you this material. While you may find reams of information offered on the subject of filing - it's all reference material that suggests you discover what files you need, then design your system and create the labels and index everything. FileSolutions is different. The immediate benefit of the FileSolutions material is that it outlines all that work specifically for you. It shows you what files to use then provides all the color-coded labels to apply to ordinary file folders (folders not included - you can get those anywhere). FileSolutions also shows you where to file and where to find things again. It's designed in a format which allows you to add new files in any category (and likewise delete those files you don't need). FileSolutions is the only information available that puts names in selected categories and sub-categories. No other system, book, or guide shows you this information (please! note the patent information at the front of the FileSolutions guide book, granted because of the novelty of this work). It looks simple once you've seen the material (if it were hard our customers would reject using it), but we reference this to let you know you have the first and only source for these details.

FileSolutions does simply and well what so many other books and filing arrangements have tried and failed. The conception is straightforward--a well-defined yet flexible filing system for all of the essential papers of one's life. Don and Nora Donnelly created a home filing system that even the least organized consumer can implement. This system is useful for virtually anyone. One particular virtue the system may have, though, is for the 20something just starting out in the adult world, who would rather have a filing system based on organization rather than whimsy. The second ideal consumer might be the "tried and failed" filer who faces a mountain of paperwork, a jumble of well-intentioned but roughly useless files, and wants to bring order from chaos. Even the established "neat as a pin and every paper in place" filer, though, can find useful ideas in how this system works. Don and Nora Donnelly don't waste the reader's time with pep talks about filing or pseudo-psychology. Instead, this filing system is practical in the greatest degree. In other words, this is not just "some book", this is a real filing system. If you are having trouble (or need a gift for someone who never wishes to have trouble) with filing solutions, I recommend you try FileSolutions.

I have started and re-started so many lists of files. There is always overlap with files -- financial is insurance, and insurance is financial. Cars are cars and also insurance. Retirement is financial and Financial is retirement. Safety Deposit Box is Bank and vice versa. I'm exaggerating a little, but you know what I mean. There are reasons to do cross-filing, but it would just add more bulk to the files. Having the names thought out ahead in sensible detail, in this book, is very helpful not only in making up the list, but also as a reference to finding where paper is filed without actually looking through the files. I had seen this book advertised years ago but could not find it when I went searching and asking about it at stores. Since I purchased a used copy, I did not (understandably) receive a book with all the file labels, as one would receive with a brand new book (more expensive). However, like many people, I will not be using every file name in the book, yet I have received the great benefit of the logical order and expertise.

This is the answer to all our filing problems! No one knows where to put the multitude of items we are asked to keep track of. This not only gives us an organized way to file things, it tells us HOW TO FIND THEM! That's the key that has always been missing. I highly recommend this system.
