5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!, March 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The X Files Desk Diary 1999 (X-Files) (Paperback)
I loved the new Desk Diary. I didn't like how there was less space, but the larger pictures and better quotes made up for it. I though that there were too many Post-Modern Prometheus pictures. They got a few quotes wrong too, like the one from Emily, where Scully is reciting her poem, they missed a few lines there. And another inaccuracy, the picture of Emily Sim in the car is from Christmas Carol, but they say it's from 'Emily'. Other than that, it's really good and it's worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but could use more character photos..., December 15, 1998
By
This review is from: The X Files Desk Diary 1999 (X-Files) (Paperback)
This glossy datebook has a two-page spread for every week of the year, one of which is a photo from season five, with quotes interspersed. The best part was discovering some additional dialogue compared to what we heard in the show (check out the quote from the end scene of Kitsunegari, when Mulder talks to Skinner.) Like most X Files products, I would prefer there be a greater focus on the characters, especially Mulder and Scully. I don't get excited by a huge picture of a mothman, for instance. More scenes from the actual shows of Mulder, Scully, and Skinner interacting would be wonderful.

I think that this item is really great, but that's probably because I'm pretty biased. I love the show so I try to get everything that they have on it.
