When it comes to the X-Files, there are few items that stand out and that have been immortalized. Sure, there are the symbols and the actors but, aside from that, there is little that is left behind after the series is gone. One of the things people recall is the "i want to believe" slogan and the picture that came with it. The second is the Flukeman and its contribution to the show.

Recalling the impact that this had and continues to have, I felt good about getting this lovely little guy. The episdoe, The Host, was a classic and, in it, the flukeman became an instant celebrity for thiose who really liked the series. Here you had something the show wanted to call "hard proof," with this nice little beastie allowing the X-files to continue as it was presented as hard evidence that "something" is out there. It even became a monument to the series on shirts as well, making it as one of only a few notions to keep on keeping on until now.

The beauty of this guy is hard to stress, and it is hard to say that anyone might find fault in it. This is created to be a sexy little guy and the detail does it a service, making the face an immortal one. It goes beyond a lot of the toys and the little colelctors pieces that hit the market because it looks so well make, and it showcases the Flukeman and the Enivronment where it was found. When Mulder saw it, it was deep in the swers, with the drains working as conduits for the thing to hide in. That is shown here in a cleaner mock-up, with a foot in the gutter truly being shown.

I looked for faults here and did not find them. It is not heavy or light in a bad place, with balance going to the sewer pipe. The item is not ugly anywhere, either, and the sewere is not really hideous - and I'm appy to type that. Honestly, it is a 5/5 piece and one a person knows if they want or not. I only say you want to get it soon because only 5000 are making the rounds.
