This book should be read by everyone concerned about the massive US defense budget or interested in the future of the US military. As technology and tactics evolve, so must those who employ them. In these well-written essays, Cindy Williams and her colleagues lay out strategies for improving the personnel system in the military while saving taxpayer money. Although some might find personnel a dry topic, the stakes in play - billions of dollars and national security, are anything but. Highly recommended to policy-makers and those who aspire to that title.
