5.0 out of 5 stars You Need This!, November 23, 2011

Where do I begin? This is the Allman Brothers at their peak. It's the original lineup, and boy do they shine. Gregg's B-3 kicks off a smoldering "Elizabeth Reed." Berry Oakley leads a ferocious "Hoochie Coochie Man," and lays down bass solo after bass solo throughout the entire set. Duane and Dickey go at it on guitar often enough to make your head spin. Of course, Butch and Jaimone lay down thunderous beats and keep the band in high gear. They get into some heavy blues, and never quite leave that vein, until closing with a 30+ minute "Mountain Jam." Listen, why are you reading this? Just get the damn album. You won't regret it!

... or maybe wait around to pick one up for a cheaper price. I did. And it was worth it. Sonically, the recording is not brilliant but its clean and I suppose you could say this is rare Allmans.
