Amazing!!!!, July 9, 2009
I bought this CD based on a referral and boy am I a happy camper. The music is very well written and blends many different genres together. It is soothing, relaxing, hypnotic, excitable, and imaginative. I am really glad I own this. Don't think twice. This will bring peace to your life. just skip lunch at Burger King for a day and avoid an upset stomach. Use that same money to secure something you will cherish for a lifetime or longer

Marcus Johnson's "FLO Chill" Album Producer (Top 10 on Billboard's Jazz Charts), June 5, 2008
Matthew's edgy, rhythmic style recently caught the ear of urban jazz pioneer Marcus Johnson. As a result, Matthew's song writing, mixing, and production expertise are now featured on three new songs for the album "FLO Chill," which is part of Marcus Johnson's September 2008 triple album release ("FLO Chill"/"FLO Romance"/"FLO Standards"). These are currently topping the Billboard Jazz Charts (with "FLO Chill" peaking at number 9). All three albums are available now at Circuit City and on iTunes.

RECORDING ACADEMY SUBMISSION WRITE-UP (51st GRAMMY AWARDS):
Matthew Shell's music is a collection of soothing and rhythmic sounds that display his urban and spiritual energy. The opening track "Rhythmic Rebirth" from his third album titled "Film Music - Inspiration for the Jaded Generation," reflects the heart and passion of his unique collaboration of sounds.
Matthew's music has captured the interest of directors and producers all over the country. Film Director, Selton Shaw was so impressed when he heard "Rhythmic Rebirth," that he contacted Matthew. He used it and other tracks in his 2008 documentary film about the realities of DC public schools, titled "The 30th President."
This urban experience expanded Matthew's creativity into Jazz, Hip Hop and Gospel sound areas, just as his visit to Spain enhanced the flamenco influence in his compositions. Matthew also produces songs for DC Jazz artist Marcus Johnson.
Matthew's album reflects his raw talent and unique gift as a composer and a producer. For more info search iTunes: Matthew Shell.
