Since the 1940s, Robert Mitchum has appeared in more than 110 movies, including 27 in his first two-and-a-half years as an actor. He soon worked his way into major roles in "The Story of G.I. Joe", "The Red Pony", "The Night of the Hunter", and both versions of "Cape Fear". The book features many of Mitchum's own thoughts on the subject of his career. Of the photographs included, many are personal, and also featured are casts, credits and reviews from all the films as well as Mitchum's television career.
