Relieved to see I'm not the only disappointed customer!, March 26, 2005
This review is from: Filtered Handheld Showerhead - Shower Filter & 5 Massage Settings (Kitchen)
I should have checked this showerhead out as thoroughly as I usually check things out, but I was so excited to see it at a reasonable price compared to other filtering showerheads, that I grabbed it without research. I, too, like the other reviewers have had to start looking for something else after just 5 months because the rubber rings have stretched out and no longer hold the showerhead in the holder. The showerhead is too heavy for the mount that comes with it and it keeps falling down on our heads. The showerhead makes a high pitched squealing noise that my previous shower head did not make. I have a 4 yr. old daughter and she can no longer shower "like a big girl" because of the potential for injury. I see that the ShowerTek company is not much help, but I'm going to E-mail them next and let them know about their inferior product. Do not waste your money on this product. You will be sorely disappointed, I'm sure!

Not pleased, March 1, 2005
This review is from: Filtered Handheld Showerhead - Shower Filter & 5 Massage Settings (Kitchen)
I purchased this shower head because I have problems with my water. My water is hard and has an iron bacteria in it. My hair was being destroyed with the shower head we have now. When I received it, I had difficulty putting the in the filter. It said it was going to come with one filter already in the shower head with two additional ones. I only received 2, one of which I had to put in. The installation of the head was easy however, I agree with the other comment that it is cheap. It is plastic. As with the other comments, the shower head kept falling off the handle, once on my head which really hurt. The pressure is awful. It was a steady flow but it wasn't what I wanted. I called Showertek to return it and it was difficult. They wanted me to return it to Showertek and get a Showertek credit. I don't want to buy another Showertek product....I wanted my Amazon credit. After many phone calls, they finally figured it out and will give me back my amazon credit. The customer service at Showertek was not overly helpful and sort of rude. After reading the other comments, I might try to remove the hardware that supposedly will help with the pressure. I am going to try to do this before I mail it back.

Filter seems good, but the shower head is mediocre, February 11, 2005
This review is from: Filtered Handheld Showerhead - Shower Filter & 5 Massage Settings (Kitchen)
The water quality seems to have improved dramatically due to the shower filter, and the filter is easy to change. However, the quality of the showerhead has been disappointing. Here is a list of problems that I have experienced: 1. Hose - the metal ends of the shower hose have rubber band-like rings, probably for grip. However, this ring keeps sliding off, especially when placing the showerhead into the shower mount. 2. Shower mount - Made of plastic. No matter how tight I tighten the shower mount, it keeps sagging when I place the showerhead on it. 3. Showerhead - Water leaks from multiple places. Currently, I'm tolerating these quality issues because the filter does seem to make the water better.
