About the Author

James Doyle is a professor of English at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario. He is the author of Stephen Leacock: The Sage of Orillia, Yankees in Canada: A Collection of Nineteenth-Century Travel Narratives, and North of America: Images of Canada in the Literature of the United States 1775-1900.
