"El Tri" is a legendary group from Mexico with 30 years experience! These guys are like the "Rolling Stones" of Rockanrol. This is a fine album with a superb collection of songs in the usual biting and often humorous lyrical style of Alex Lora. His trademark raw, gritty and raspy voice are painting tales in at times, a reflective mood , as in "Nostalgia". Here he tells a tale of the approach of the end of the century and the how people remember the music of the "Beatles, Hendrix, Janis and Morrison" and how the the idealogy of "Che" is popular again. He speaks of rebellion, as well, with the fine accompiament of an accoustic guitar on this track. Parables are given, as in "Casate o Muerete" where you really find out how people feel about you. Humor abounds, as usual, as in "No Hay Pedo" and the bluesy "El Viagra" where man can take a little pill to feel young again. With the addition of an enhanced feature for your computer, it is icing on the cake. These guys play straight ahead rockanrol based on rhythm and blues. You won't find any electronic gimmickry or blending of popular musical styles here, just plain old rock and roll. I saw them recently in concert and his audience spans generations from boomers to teeners, to Mexicanos on both sides of the border from various backgrounds. Another good album from the pioneers of Rock en Espanol.

el tri is a legendary band. they dont make music to whats popular or trendy. they keep their style the same and it always works. they were the first pioneers of rock en espanol. "nostalgia" is a straight to the point song with excellent lyrics and mostly the other songs keep the alex lora sense of humor.

No hay duda de que el TRI es el mejor grupo de rock de todos los tiempos. Lla pasaron 30 anos de trallectoria artistica y eso lo demuestra que no hay otro como EL TRI. Alejandro Lora no es un cualquier loco mariguano que anda en brancas por babosadas. Alex Lora es uno de mis idolos que no tiene miedo de desir las verdades que oculta el gobierno Mexicano, el denuncia la corrupcion y el abuso del poder que dia tras dia ocirre en nuestro paiz de origen. Un poeta de apellido Lorca murio por eso durante el regimen de Franco en Espana.

This is one of El Tri's greatest albums. Recorded in 1997 and released in 1998, the title fits the concept of the tracks and its timing as the century came to its end. Songs like "Nostalgia", "Todo me sale mal", "Quien de un peso por mis suenos" and "Todo se vale" are among the best tracks. The artwork is also good. This is definitely a must have album.
