This review is for any true fan of the legendary band, The Faces (if you're not, just hit the back button on your browser now).
Yes, in today's "ultra-digtal", "iPod age", the audio and video are not up to standards; but what do you expect! This was recorded back in 1974. Bottom line is this: to see a slightly strung-out Keith Richard & a young, vital Ronnie Wood duel out Chuck Berry riffs on "Sweet Little Rock & Roller" is worth the price of this dvd alone. These guys just don't kick it out the jams like this anymore.
Again let me repeat, you got Keith! Being a diehard, longtime Stones fan, his appearance on this dvd is just flat out wicked. There are not that many mid-70's era Stones videos out there; any live Keith is a blessing. Seriously, the audio is very good soundboard & the video is really pretty good considering the technololgy at the time. So, if you know where I'm coming from (meaning you own all the Faces albums on vinyl) purchasing this dvd is a no brainer. If you expect 5.1 audio & digital quality video, look elsewhere. It don't need to be pretty to be rock n' roll, 'nuff said!

First of all, let me say that this group (Faces) has been one of my favorite rock groups since their first album with Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood. I wore out their 8-tracks, then their lp's and now I have all of their cd's. Having said that, I have to say that I am VERY disappointed in this DVD. As the other reviewers have stated, the audio and video are terrible. I could have lived with that, because Faces wasn't about being pretty. They rocked, down and dirty. That's what I loved about them. The main problem for me here is the song selection. I believe there is only one REAL Faces song on this DVD (You Can Make Me Dance, Sing or Anything). There are 9 songs originally done on Rod Stewart albums and 2 songs originally done on Ronnie Wood albums...and that's ok too, because I love Rod's early solo work and love all of Ronnie's solo stuff too..but almost every Rod song here is a cover!!! Until a REAL Faces DVD comes out, I'll have to live with this one. A must for real fans like me, but still very disappointing.

It's true that the sound and picture quality on this disc are not up to par with most DVD releases, but it is still a very entertaining film for any fans of the Faces, Rod Stewart, or the Rolling Stones.

The setlist is fantastic, even without the Faces' best-known song ("Stay With Me") and the contributions of the then-departed Ronnie Lane ("Ooh La La", etc.). The Faces take on Berry ("Sweet Little Rock N' Roller"), among other classics ("Angel", "It's All Over Now"), and play a few of the members' solo numbers. The personal highlight for me, as a Rolling Stones fan, was getting to see Keith Richards at a point in time when the Stones were inactive. It was obvious even then that he and future bandmate Ronnie Wood had some good chemistry going.

The film is definitely rough around the edges (even the packaging gives it the appearance of a bootleg), but if you can get past that, there are some fantastic perfomances on here.
