5.0 out of 5 stars Best Peace Punk Album Ever, April 28, 2006

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Final Conflict (Audio CD)
This album is in my opinion the most quintessential peace-punk album ever. The arrangement of songs is perfect, the lyrics are excellent, the instrumentals are great and it all fits together so utterly perfectly.

The inclusion of Steve Ignorant adds another dimension to Conflict's already rich sound. In my opinion this album is better than any of the work that he did with Crass (as good as any of it may have been). The two vocalists seem to play off of each other as if they were made for each other. Few other punk bands managed to pull off such harmony (if such a thing even exists in Punk), only Aus-Rotten and The Rezillos come to mind as bands that approach the perfection of the dual vocals.

Unlike most punk albums, this album is not pure punk. Some songs take from Reggae and more straight rock, adding additional depth to an already perfect album. Ultimately, as good as albums by other peace-punk bands are they mostly stick to one musical genre, while this album goes all over the place, but manages to be cohesive never the less.

It is clear that this album was recorded in one sitting... each cog in the band pulled off their parts perfectly with their hearts, minds and hands in the right place.

Buy this, steal this... whatever I don't care.
