Book Description

With the long-dreaded Seed of the woman delivered at Bethlehem, the prophecy of the Coming One has now been fulfilled. Lucifer realizes that any hope to win the war is slipping away and decides upon desperate gamble---he will have to face the Son personally. With his demonic host to assist him, Lucifer makes plans to cut the Messiah down once and for all. Boasting that he will "more than bruise His heel," Lucifer decides to destroy the Son from within his inner circle and sets his heart upon a dark plan that will end on the darkest day in history.....or so he believes. Set in and around Jerusalem, FINAL CONFRONTATION describes the death match between light and darkness that reaches a brutal and bloody climax for Calvary.

Creative imagination and follows scripture very well.
Donald Ebert
Loved how the author used the Bible to explain his story to us about Jesus Christ's birth and leading up to and including how He died on the cross.

I waited for this book for over a year, and I have to say, it was pretty much worth it. "Final Confrontation" tells the story of Jesus' ministry on earth, along with his resurrection, from an angelic point of view. I found the view points of the various angels and demons quite interesting, especially during his birth and crucifiction.
I did find a few grammatical errors in the book, but other then that, I would definitely give this book five stars. Although I wish that the series would not have ended witht his book, I think that the author, D. Brian Shafer, did a fantastic job in both his writing and accuracy. You've probably all ready read about the life of Jesus through our (a human's) viewpoint. I would reccommend reading this book, so you can see it through a spiritual one.

I read through this book so fast that I was disappointed that it came to an end. I have been following this series from the beginning and have never been disappointed. This last book deals with the life and ministry of Christ. Shafer's treatment of the drama aruond Jesus, the devils consipring, the miracles that throw them and the search for a betrayer was ecellent. I also enjoyed the historical material included in the book about Jerusalem, the temple, Herod, etc. I am recommending this entire series to all of my friends and to my pastor. I hope they make this into a movie someday--it would be great! You listening, Mel Gibson?

this book takes you through the betrayal of Jesus as well as the crucifixion it was done so very well but reading the horrors that Jesus underwent and knowing that even on the cross Satan and his demons taunted and took joy in his suffering is enough to hurt anyone's heart. this book is awesome and I recommend anyone that loves Christian fiction to read these books such a different point of view and well written

This book, and entire series, is enlightening and movtivational. It is brilliant in its uses of bibilical stories and scripture to create fiction that inspires one's life today. I haven't read such a good series in a long time.

These 4 books were a great read.

They take you through the Bible stories in a very interesting way. I loved the angels in the books, and loved each of their personalities. I hope there are more books to come.

In this Book 4 of 5 series from the 'Chronicles of the Host' continuing saga, Author D. Brian Shafer illustrates the Four Gospels of: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, depicting the Life of Jesus, in an easy to read format. As with his other three books in the series, he includes fictional angel and demon characters and intertwines them with the Holy Gospels of 'what might have been', in the Spiritual Realm during that time. Lucifer, now known as satan, by his fallen name, having failed to kill the Baby Christ Child also referred too as 'The Seed', by Herod the not so Great..., thinks of another way to get to Jesus and destroy Him, once and for all. But, Michael the Warrior Archangel and the Heavenly Angelic Host pull out all of the stops, to ensure health and safety for Jesus, as He grows into Manhood. The book itself is 308 pages but included are 6 pages of 'Study Notes' and a 'Question and Answer' section for further study. Legalists, please keep in mind, that although this is a fictional account, the essence of Jesus' Birth, Death and Resurrection is still, very much in tact and the Lord is still on His Throne. Nina

I really enjoyed all four books of the Chronicles of the Host! To my delight, there's a 5th book so I just ordered it today. The books are really entertaining with some history of the Old Testament and the Gospels, a fun way of learning and always drives me to the Bible for further reading. Just one error: when Jesus said to the thief next to him on the cross, as stated in Luke 23:43, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." In this 4th book, he stated "I promise you today, you will be with me in paradise." Note the word, TODAY, was written after the comma, NOT preceding it where it should be. Huge difference, different meaning. According to the Greek Interlinear, it was stated as "And He said to him, 'Truly I say to you, today with me you will be in paradise.'"

I wanted to email the author but since I don't know of any way to reach him, I thought I'd say it here.

Again, loved what the author was trying to get across to us. Loved how the author used the Bible to explain his story to us about Jesus Christ's birth and leading up to and including how He died on the cross. The author made it seem like it was happening today because evil can and does overcome what is happening right now. Made me realize how I can choose good over evil and that I know how very much God loves me and I choose to follow Christ and not evil. Can't wait to read more books by this author.
