A pretty good end to the series, May 22, 2004
This review is from: Final Confrontation (Chronicles of the Host, Book 4) (Paperback)
I waited for this book for over a year, and I have to say, it was pretty much worth it. "Final Confrontation" tells the story of Jesus' ministry on earth, along with his resurrection, from an angelic point of view. I found the view points of the various angels and demons quite interesting, especially during his birth and crucifiction. I did find a few grammatical errors in the book, but other then that, I would definitely give this book five stars. Although I wish that the series would not have ended witht his book, I think that the author, D. Brian Shafer, did a fantastic job in both his writing and accuracy. You've probably all ready read about the life of Jesus through our (a human's) viewpoint. I would reccommend reading this book, so you can see it through a spiritual one.

Awesome!!!, May 2, 2004

This review is from: Final Confrontation (Chronicles of the Host, Book 4) (Paperback)
I read through this book so fast that I was disappointed that it came to an end. I have been following this series from the beginning and have never been disappointed. This last book deals with the life and ministry of Christ. Shafer's treatment of the drama aruond Jesus, the devils consipring, the miracles that throw them and the search for a betrayer was ecellent. I also enjoyed the historical material included in the book about Jerusalem, the temple, Herod, etc. I am recommending this entire series to all of my friends and to my pastor. I hope they make this into a movie someday--it would be great! You listening, Mel Gibson?

TWO DIFFERENT BOOKS HAVE SAME TITLE, "Final Confrontation", April 25, 2011
This review is from: Final Confrontation (Chronicles of the Host, Book 4) (Paperback)
I have not yet read the fiction book entitled "Final Confrontation (Chronicles of the Host, Book 4). However, I just wanted potential readers to know that if, like me, someone recommends a Christian-based books with the title "Final Confrontation", there is another book with exactly the same title. The other book is NONfiction, and is written by MARK MALLETT, and is called "The Final Confrontation". I have not yet read it either, but my sister recommended it to me, and I looked in vain on amazon, being confused, not realizing the book she recommended is a DIFFERENT BOOK FROM THE FICTIONAL BOOK BY BRIAN SCHAFER. I think Mark Mallet's book "Final Confrontation" (published in 2009) is about Biblical prophesy of the future end-times, with a Catholic flavor. If you, like myself, have had someone recommend a book called "Final Confrontation", and are unsure whether it is the fictional or nonfiction one, you can look up Mark Mallett's nonfiction book nowhere on amazon (except I think I found it once on amazon, but cannot seem to re-locate it now), using a google search for "Final Confrontation Mark Mallett". Good luck! Just wanted to save other amazon users from wasting a lot of time like I ended up doing.
