This review is from: Final Cut Express HD for Mac OS X (Paperback)
This book, while quite good, doesn't contain any help in regard to using LiveType. Just thought people should be aware of this important fact.

Excellent Book for Beginners or Avid Users Switching Over,
By HollywoodBoy (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Final Cut Express HD for Mac OS X (Paperback)
I have been an Avid user all my life and I finally decided to buy Final Cut for my personal lap top computer when I switched to a Mac this year. This Visual QuickStart Guide is the perfect transition tool to move from Avid to Final Cut seamlessly. It got my brain thinking Final Cut instead of comparing it to Avid. Great book and great price. The only downside is there is virtually no discussion of how to use LiveType.

A very helpful reference book,
This review is from: Final Cut Express HD for Mac OS X (Paperback)
I am new to FCE, and am using an instruction DVD with movies, a lesson/tutorial book, and Lisa's book. Her book is a reference book, well-organized, clearly-written, and well-illustrated.
When I am not at the computer with the tutorial book, or need more in-depth information about a topic, she does a fabulous job. I don't use it as a tutorial/lesson book. It contains tons of extra information to supplement the tutorials. |
