5.0 out of 5 stars A clear winner once again from one of my favorite authors!
Pastor Hagee has done it again! This book doesn't include his opinions; his words are from the Word of God. The book clearly reveals that Israel is the absolute center time piece to Bible prophecy. It uncovers many of the myths about Jews that Christians have believed for so long. The book distinguishes between Israel and the Church. Neither replaces the other as...

1.0 out of 5 stars Hagee at his racist best
It is interesting that Hagee should write about anti-Semitism, awful as it is. In this book, while he cites examples of it, one can't help but wonder why isn't called to the carpet for his own anti-Semitic views. To say nothing of the Arabs he continually berates (who are, after all, Semites, too), his overriding assertion is that only those who acccept Christ will enter...

Neither replaces the other as many are falsely teaching. I may receive criticism for this but I'm not here to be applauded by people. This book clearly reveals that the Church does not go through the tribulation. I agree with the Pre-Trib position because the tribulation is a time when God deals with Israel again, not the church. God picks up with Israel again where He left off before the Church was born when Christ was cut off (crucified) but not for Himself. Once the church is raptured, God will deal with Israel again so the Jewish people will finally recognize their Messiah. This book is a must read if you're wanting to know the truth. Don't pass this one up!

5.0 out of 5 stars I didn't realize the Jews were so blessed!, October 20, 1999
By A Customer
I thought this might be like a "part II" to Hagee's first prophecy book, but it really is an explanation of what has happened and what will happen to individuals and countries who do wrong to the Jews. The Jews and God still have a very strong relationship, as always, and Hagee reminds us that we (Christians) are the Jews' brothers (and sisters). I have told all my friends "You have GOT to read this," and I tell you the same thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars A strong advocate of the Jewish roots of Christian Faith, January 11, 2002
This review is from: Final Dawn Over Jerusalem (Paperback)
Dr. Hagee's biblical research and perception of GOD's Covenant people, the Jews are definitely the speaking Mind of our GOD Almighty and the Holy One of Israel. Those who think likewise are those who have a faithful heart to our Jewish Saviour, our One and Only Lord Jesus Christ.
Though anti-Semitism started with the early church fathers but it is Hitler who is the one that bring anti-Semitism to the utmost brink. Hitler is a catholic and that's undeniable and the
roman catholic did help him to accomplish the Holocaust project. So it is very right and very appropriate that Dr. Hagee bring these up to the readers and I don't think he's being anti-catholic but just revealing true facts to the world and especially to the catholic world. Catholics may find it
disturbing but face the facts and if it bother you, don't read but don't belittle Dr. Hagee's divine works.
Lord Jesus definitely don't like a Christian who don't face up to his/her mistakes when committed and keep telling Him I have not sin. I highly recommend this book to all Christians and non-Christians who have a heart for our gracious Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Land Israel and Jerusalem as well as His beloved Covenant people, the Jews.

4.0 out of 5 stars To be anti-Semitic is to be anti-God!, July 12, 1999
Hagee reminds Christians and non-Christians alike that historically as well as Biblically, Israel is a nation favored by God. To go against the Jews is to thumb your nose at God, Himself. Not a good thing to do for the atheist or believer either one. Most of all, this book should shake any anti-Semitic Christians to their very foundations!

5.0 out of 5 stars John Hagee showed me the importance of praying for the Jews., June 4, 1999
By A Customer
This book was a marvelously written account of both the history of the Jewish nation, and the problems the Jewish people have and will face because they do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. Hagee incorporates Bible prophesy, history, and personal experience into this book. He writes just like he preaches: doesn't sugar coat anything!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb study of the importance of Jerusalem to current event, January 18, 1999
Pastor Hagee does a superb job of explaining the history of the city of Jerusalem, and the Jewish nation. He explains clearly the role of Isreal in what the world can expect in the future. He explains why Christians have misunderstood their required support of Isreal and what the consequences are for nations that do not support the "apple of God's eye." I was fascinated by this book and highly recommend it to anyone interested in current events, prophesy, Christianity and Judism.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Past and The Present... History and Prophecy, July 9, 2005
This review is from: Final Dawn Over Jerusalem (Paperback)
"Final Dawn Over Jerusalem", written by pastor John Hagee, was given to me a few years ago and now that I've gotten around to reading it, I'm glad I did.

The first chapter begins with the June 7, 1981 Israeli bombing on Iraq's $260 million nuclear reactor and all its technical equipment, thwarting Saddam Hussein's ability to build an atomic bomb. Because this was a decade before Hussein's attack on Kuwait, many could not understand the need for this defensive tactic and Prime Minister Menachem Begin was therefore looked upon as being too aggressive. Pastor John Hagee organized a massive public demonstration in support of Israel (now an ongoing annual event called, "A Night To Honor Israel") in spite of threats to his life, while asking, "Why is the world so quick to turn against Israel? Why has Christianity persecuted the Jews for 2,000 years? How logical is it for Christians to praise dead Jews of the past - Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Jesus, and Paul - while cursing the Jewish people of the present?" - questions he attempts to answer within this book.

Written from a religious viewpoint with biblical citations, I found it to be interesting in fact of customs, historical knowledge, research and explanation. If you have never before read one of the many books about the horrors of the Holocaust or other accounts of Jewish persecution that took place around the world, this book's summary in the chapter called, "The Crucifixion of The Jews", might be a shocking one - but also enlightening of the degree and time frame of such persecutions and deliberate murder of more than six million Jews.

Under the subtitle, "Malicious Myths About Jewish People", we find some of them are ignorance and fear (based upon ignorance). Other reasons for prejudice is jealousy and the drive to confiscate property which happened time and time again, until Israel was reborn in 1943 (although the threat of losing land is still a continuing one) - a once barren desert now blooming in fertility and production. Another disturbing reason the Jews have been the most persecuted of people is religious motivation of the Christian of every era (now Islam joins the fray) mostly due to the belief that the Jews killed Jesus.

In "Final Dawn Over Jerusalem" logical explanation is given in order to disprove this assumption. For instance, Herod was Roman and not Jewish. Had Jesus been put to death by Jews, it would have been via stoning, not crucifixion which was the Roman way. (No wonder Christians and Jews see the cross in different ways.) Even the mob scene was an orchestrated plot by Ciaphas (also a Roman and second in command to Herod) and consisted of Pharisees - religious separatists who made up only 1% of the Jewish population at that time, albeit very powerful and influential. Judas was not an ethnic Jew and some believe he was probably a spy for Herod from the beginning of his time with Jesus.

Although I have learned much from "Final Dawn Over Jerusalem", and it went a long way in explaining the constant thriving conditions of anti-Semitism within the hearts of some, I still have found no answers to the questions first asked, unless to accept the postulation of John Hagee and others: "Anti-Semitism is a demonic spirit from the bowels of hell."

5.0 out of 5 stars If only this book had been published in 1920's Germany!, September 9, 1999
This book should have been mandatory reading for every school child in pre-Nazi Germany. It should have been recommended and preached on by every person standing in a pulpit. Hitler's "Final Solution" might well have hit a brick wall with the German people.

A hard hitting look at the history of anti-semitism and the role of Isreal in the future of God's plans. I must warn you, the history of jewish persecution is not for the faint of heart.
