This review is from: The Final Days (Paperback)
Mysterious letters arrive in Karen Wiley's mailbox; pleas for help from a girl held captive. There's one problem: Karen doesn't know anyone who's been kidnapped. A sick prank, to be sure, until more disturbing "material" begins to arrive. The search leads to the picturesque Utah desert, where demons roam freely through the minds and hearts men and women alike.I don't read many thrillers, so this was a good diversion for me. This book is full of twists, some of which seem unrelated until the end, where all ends up being connected in surprising ways. Chance's characters are interesting and have depth; they were not born on page one. The descriptions are rich and vivid. Chance has a lot of potential as a writer and I look forward to reading more from him. |
