Auron Action Figurine,

This review is from: Final Fantasy X: Auron Play Arts Action Figure (Toy)
The Auron figurine from Final Fantasy X is an extremely detailed, durable figure. It has several options for customization based on events in the game, for example allowing Aurons arm to hang free of the kimono or a built in piece thats included to fold Aurons arm into the kimono with the sleeve hanging free, as he is often seen in the game. The detail of his outfit is spectacular, including a hanging sake jug, numerous flexible straps, tassels, and ribbons all of which are brightly colored. The leg articulation is limited but has to remain solid for him to stand. The sword is loose so it can be arranged how you wish him to hold it, or not at all. He has fairly reasonable arm movement and also included head articulation which is surprisingly decent. The figurine comes with extra hand position pieces and a doll stand. All in all, a very satisfyingly accurate figurine for a collector.

This is an excellent replica, great for collectors, but keep it in the box! Both the right knee joint and left elbow joint appear to be weak. Regardless, ABCTOY4me has been great to deal with and I would not hesitate to do business with them again!

Could break,
This review is from: Final Fantasy X: Auron Play Arts Action Figure (Toy)
The joints of right arm and leg broke while I was gently trying to give it a fighting stance. Otherwise, it is a great replica of everyone's favorite: Auron from Final Fantasy X.

This Toy is a very detailed, very good looking figure, but the joints in the right arm and one of the legs are faulty. Just the simple process of posing him will cause them to snap. I've gone through 2, and decided to keep the third one in the box. Many other people have had problems with it. I suggest if you buy it, you keep it in the box too.

I knew before I bought him that he's basically the worst quality Final Fantasy figure ever, but he's my favorite character in the series, so I had to get him at some point.
The good part is he LOOKS alright. Nice detail and sculpting and paint, for the most part. However, there's some mistakes and quality issues with it, like: His eye is blue, but it's supposed to be brown. The trim on his robe is black, when it's supposed to be dark blue. His prayer beads (YES they are prayer beads) are too brightly colored. Both his wrists are kinda oddly thin. The boots look like smooshy slug boogers. Also, I dunno what kind of plastic they used to make him, but you can feel the cheapness of it compared to other Final Fantasy figures. It feels weak. He comes with two different left arms. It's ridiculously hard to switch them out. However the biggest issue is his joint construction. These are the worst joints I've ever seen on an action figure. With his right arm, the joint actually kinda looks ok, it goes with the wrinkles in the sleeve, so you can't really notice where the joint is, but that doesn't justify how weak it is. Most of the rest of the joints are the same type used on the right arm, and they ARE noticeable, and they look stupid, and on top of that, they're pathetically constructed and weak. The ankles got the worst of it. They just add to the poor appearance of the boots. The joints on his bare left arm are treacherously weak and sorta unfinished looking, as if each segment comes from a completely different action figure and were kinda carelessly forced together to form a whole new arm. The sword is pretty much flawless. Scaled correctly, right colors, no blemishes. His overall appearance is good and passable, I just think they tragically skimped on the quality.

This action figure is fantastic and I would have to say being a FFX makes it even better. The face of the character isn't so much how I remember him looking but close enough. I also liked it came with one arm not inside the of his robe but I prefer his arm inside anyways. It is stiff like the Cloud figure I have but I like this one better since I always thought of Auron as somewhat of a stiff looking character. I liked the way Auron was presented in the video game and now I am very happy to own this action figure. Fans will probably love it but as far as a kids toy it may get broken pretty easy.

Auron has super stiff joints which is good but there is a drawback. It's easy to pose him without worrying about him toppling over but it's extremely hard to switch out his left arms.
The first time I changed his arms it took over 10 minutes and my thumb was sore the next day. Pros: good articulation for what he is. Excellent sword sculpt cons: hard to change out his arms

I bought this figure at a toy fair and the right arm was already broken but did stay in place and was movable without gluing so I decided to get him. As I was seeing how well his legs bend his left leg came off at the knee, but same deal, it will stay and still articulate for the most part. No I didn't force it. I tried to get him into an action pose but the upper part of his legs (the part joined at the hip) do not bend backward at all, just forward so about all he can do is just stand upright. I have to say I'm kind of disappointed in this one.
I'm not sure why this one doesn't seem as durable as the other Play Arts figures. I have three others and some drunken friends gave a couple of them quite a work out and they came through intact.

I was delighted when my Auron finally came in the mail. I was so excited to have him on display. At first glance, it didn't disappoint. It captures the essence of one of the FF series' most memorable characters. The figure is very detailed with all of Auron's cloak's tassels, clasps, and colors. It features an extra arm for when his arm is in his cloak and when it's not, which I think is very cool for the different poses you may want him in. Lastly, BEWARE!!! This toy will BREAK very easily. I was posing his arm for display on my shelf and his arm snapped. I was crushed... All in all, it's like talking to a super model...it's got all the eye-pleasing features, but after much handling it'll become damaged goods.
