English Real emotion,
By J.D (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Final Fantasy X-2 International//Last Mission (Audio CD)
I bought this Album because I was looking for the english versions of Real Emotion and 1000 Words (by Jade from Sweetbox). I found it, and I think it is great. This album contains both English version of Real Emotion, 1000 words (pop version) and the orchestral version which is heard at the end credits of the game. There are 10 tracks total to this cd, but the thing is, the other 7 are from the last mission and I don't recongnize them.
I played the regular Final Fantasy X-2 (awesome game, don't get me started), but never got around to the later additions with the Last mission. If you're like me you'll recognize 3 of the songs: 1.Real Emotion - english 2.1000 Words - english 3.Some fight song - don't know, I think its from Last mission 4.some fight song 5.some fight song 6.some fight song 7.some fight song 8.some fight song 9. 1000 words (orchestral) 10. Kimi He ( from the Yuna Vocal Final Fantasy X-2 Collection) Sung in Japanese. So that's about it. Like I said again, I really like the cd because it has the 3 songs that I was actually looking for. The rest of the songs are pretty good, but don't stand out. If I were you, and you just want the three songs, buy the mp3s from somewhere, or drop the money and buy this cd (which is english by JADE FROM SWEETBOX), and get other songs from it. Like I said, it's a good cd, the artwork from the cd jacket is really good too (if you like that sort of thing). I hope this helps! -JD

The Songs of the Hour: Real Emotion and 1000 Words,
This review is from: Final Fantasy X-2 International//Last Mission (Audio CD)
First, and most important, if anyone is looking for the ENGLISH versions of Real Emotion and 1000 Words (sung by Jade from Sweetbox), look no further than this album. Real Emotion is quick and upbeat, and all around pop. 1000 Words is stunning and I believe is made so by the vocalist, Jade - listen to the song and you will know what I mean. For those people who are FFX-2 fans you will appreciate the extra tracks that come from the game itself, although it is a very short-listed selection and not the best selection for that matter. For instance, the best non-vocal song of the game, Memory of Wave and Light (the music that plays at the start of the game) is not on this album.
This CD is very recommendable regardless. 1. Real Emotion 2. 1000 Words 3. Seal of the Wind 4. Last Mission No.1 5. Last Mission No.2 6. Last Mission No.3 7. Creature Creation 8. Flashover 9. 1000 Words - orchestra version 10. To You - Japanese version

Let's end the debate, okay?,

This review is from: Final Fantasy X-2 International//Last Mission (Audio CD)
First of all, this is a great CD. Second of all, let's just end the debate here and now over which version of "real Emotion" and "1,000 Words" is better. The Japanese and English versions both have their pluses, but whichever version you heard first is probably the one you like more. Neither version is really "better" than the other.
That said, let's continue. I bought this CD for the English versions of the said songs. I think the English "1,000 Words" is way better than the Japanese version because Jade's voice just fits the song more. Also, the chorus lyrics change more in this version, and the second time the chorus plays through, Jade does an awesome duet with herself. That's my favorite part of the song. "real Emtion" is great in either version. I like both versions equally. They both have their own charms, so I have declared a draw. My favorite song from this CD, though, is not either of the disputed songs. It's "To You" or "Kimi He". This song literally moved me to tears the first time I heard it. Not sobbing-my-head-off tears, but still. It is INCREDIBLE! The instrumentation, tune, and sound are awesome and emotional. I didn't even know what this song was when I bought the CD, but now it's one of my all-time favorites. All in all, this CD is great and worth the buy. The other tracks on the CD are only okay, so they don't help much, but the vocal songs make this a great choice.

What a great CD. Jade does a really great job. I remember scanning the web for a Cd with real Emotion in english and found this. All the songs are wonderful, even To You (track 10) even though it's in Japanese it's still a great song. I also recommend Koda Kumi's version of real Emotion, it rocks!
Peace y'all

Not Very Good,

I think the originals in japanese of real emotion and 1000 words were much better. I don't really like Jade's voice. It seems too sharp. Also, the recording sounds kind of low quality. Even though I don't understand the japanese version, I prefer the japanese version over this english version.

this cd, is basically have some japanese music turned english. my responses, its okay ecept for the fact that since im japanese i more use to japanese language for tese music. i personally think the english songs on this album are hard to listen to, too soft and overall not japanesey "not a word" but basically stick to japanese when making japanese music and i speaking to avex, or sweetbox jade couod've made her own song instead of ruin a nice japanese song. the piano song is really great and to you was also, and if you are going to buy advent children i reccomend you import it because english ruin the characters voice, and teh characters are japanese so why change their voice to english, did they go to english skool.
