This review is from: Final Fantasy I - II - NINTENDO FAMICOM (Japanese Import Video Game) (Video Game)
Many people will disagree with me that Final Fantasy 1 is the best Final Fantasy available, but, I think it is a great game!
-Final Fantasy 1- This game is what started this long chain of games and was very well made back in the day. The map is a good size, not too big, not too small. It's difficult to get lost when you start which is nice. The story is basic, but good. You are 4 heroes that you get to choose between different characters to make your team. Each hero holds an orb that needs to be lit back up. You must defeat the 4 big monsters of earth, fire, water, and sky. Afterwards, you must face the monster known as Chaos. There are only 2 or 3 real problems I have with this game. The first problem is that being an early RPG, it takes all day to level up, it takes forever to get money too, but that goes with the level system. Another thing is that the game is not very forgiving when it comes to poison, sleep, and other status effects. Other than that, great game! -Final Fantasy 2- It's basically the same as the first one, just a different map, story, enemies, and a little better when leveling up. Great game to have if you have a Famicom and know how to read Japanese. It's hard to get anywhere in these games without knowing how to read Japanese especially when it comes to equipping items and such. |
