A Great Selection, March 20, 2003
This review is from: Final Fantasy X: Suteki Da Ne (Audio CD)
I'll start out by saying this, I have been alway's interested in Japanese culture, but I don't speak a word of Japanese, and it doesn't matter. I bought this because I enjoyed the single "Suteki Da Ne" in the video game "Final Fantasy X' and have heard the instrumental version before and liked it. Although there's just 4 songs on this it's worth it.
1. "Suteki Da Ne" this is a true romantic classic. It doesn't need to be in english, to be good. For those who would like to know what she is saying, there are many websites for "Final Fantasy" games that can tell you.
2. "Utikisama" I had know idea what to expect from this track. It is very beautiful and is something that you will enjoy listening to. It's soft melody will stay in your head.
3. "Pure Heart" is a version of "Aeris's (or Aerith's) Theme. It is not my favorite version. But I do like it. I remember when "Final Fantasy VII" came out, thinking they should make a vocal version of "Aeris's Theme". So, I was quite revealed when they did, and it ended up being good.
4. "Suteki Da Ne (Instrumental)" A lot of people don't like this song without the singing, but I do. The track it's self is very powerful. And although the lyric's make it even more so. It still stands out as a classic.

This is a beautiful song. It's romantic and reminds anyone of a first kiss or fantasy. How can you put a price on beauty?

Isn't it wonderful?, April 25, 2002
This review is from: Final Fantasy X: Suteki Da Ne (Audio CD)
To many, buying a Japanese CD may seem strange, foreign and just plain odd.
But with Rikki's childlike voice and amazing arrangement of instruments, falling into the music is as natural as breathing.
I suggest those who are interested in Asian cultures and music, give this CD a chance, for those who are not, I hope you find something to match your taste.
