This is the best album from Keel ever! It contains an awesome cover of "Because the Night" a tune penned by Bruce Springsteen, and it also features the Marc Ferrari classic "Rock n Roll Animal". This is one of two Keel albums I'd ever recommend the other being their self-titled follow-up from 1987.
There is NO other release that sounds like this production from that era in Heavy Metal History. So I Highly Recommend this album. It's worth any amount.

MORE MATURE?,

I have always loved this Keel CD. Nice production. A definite must have for fans of the band. The songwriting is a bit more mature than the previous two albums. I felt like the band lagged somewhat after this release. Highlights are: THE FINAL FRONTIER, ROCK AND ROLL ANIMAL, ARM AND A LEG, NO PAIN NO GAIN.

THIS ALBUM IS PLAIN FUN, and with great guitar playing by Marc Ferrari and Bryan Jay. By the way, The Boss did not "cover" this song also. The Boss wrote it!

VH1 has played this song (Because the night) a few times. If you have ever heard this song and love music it might be your new number one. It's GREAT! I like the Boss and Patti Smith who also cover this song but Keel does it best.

I love this Cd, I owned it when I was in high school, however I have lost it. I even did my ballet solo in my SR. dance recital to one the songs off of this album. I really would like to buy this CD again since I lost my first copy. However, I can not find it anywhere. If anyone knows where I can find a copy to buy, I would be forever grateful.Thank You, Julie Lovercheck

Best album by band that deserved to make it,

The Final Frontier, along with The Right To Rock, were the best albums that Keel made. If this album was released 2-3 years later, it would have surely been a hit when the pop-metal bandwagon was in full swing. The first single was a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Because The Night" which could've been a hit single if it was given a push. There are also some very good pop-metal tracks such as "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow", "Just Another Girl", and the ballad "Tears Of Fire" which would have been very radio-friendly tracks for that era. The title track and "Rock and Roll Animal" were also decent tracks. Some of the harder tracks such as "Raised On Rock" and "Arm and A Leg" have not aged well. Fans of late-80s pop-metal should give this album a listen.
