Final Justice by Mel Comley is the riveting sequel to Impeding Justice the fast paced action packed thriller.
We continue the journey with Detective Inspector Lorne Simpkins in her quest to bring the evil Unicorn to justice. Once again the characters in this book draw you into their inner circle and make you feel what they are feeling. When Detective Inspector Lorne Simpkins gets pulled into this force of evil herself you will be there with her cheering her on. This sequel picks up right where Impending Justice left off and brings you to an outcome that is very satisfying! I would recommend this book to everyone, it was great!

After reading the first, Impeding Justice, and not being too thrilled about that ending, I see Final Justice is the necessary sequel to satisfy those of us that don't like 'hangers'. This was a good thrill ride, right to the end. The characters are sometimes flawed, always interesting, and I wouldn't mind reading more of Lorne's adventures.

Final Justice is the perfect sequel to "Impending Justice". The plot is great and the story is full of exciting twists, turns and unexpected events. Each turn o the page brought something new. Great characters, great story, get thriller, great job. Mel Comley has definitely been added to my list of favorite authors.

I really enjoyed this sequel to Impeding Justice. Lorne is just as feisty as ever, but it's the three-dimensional properties of this character that drew me in. Her fears and vulnerabilities are a pleasant change from the stereotypical crime fighting heroines one finds in the genre'. And the Unicorn, Baldwin, is an antagonist that any reader will love to hate. The boat scene made me want to kill him myself, slowly! Excellent character development and a fitting conclusion. Well done.

A year after the events of Impeding Justice Lorne is left emotionally battered and bruised. Then she gets a phone call with the words 'He's back!'. Thus begins a chase across France to rid the world of the ultimate bad guy.

This book was set at a slower pace than it's predecessor but that doesn't make it any the less enjoyable for it. It was nice to be taken along at a slightly slower pace. I still couldn't put the book down though and found it easy to get back into Lorne's head. This time around she was far more fragile and I identified with her vulnerablity.

Can't wait for the next one Mel, let's hope we don't have to wait too long!

Mel Comley delivers another tour de force in FINAL JUSTICE, her sequel to IMPEDING JUSTICE.

Lorne Simpkins has now left the police force but joins the hunt in France for the fiendish Unicorn killer. In many ways this thriller is superior to the first one and that one was excellent. The pace is slower, but the characters and motivations more well developed. The action is still strong enough to keep the reader turning pages. I read this during a recent flight to Vancouver and completed it in one day. A fantastic airplane and airport read.

Read the first one because it is the set up and follow with this one. A highly satisfying conclusion. Great job, Mel. I hope we will hear more from Lorne.

Final Justice is a fast-paced thrilling follow-up to Impeding Justice (which is a must read). The words, "He's back!", gave fair warning of another wild ride with DI Simpkin's nemesis, whom readers learned to despise, from Impeding Justice. Mel Comley had the foresight to allow us an ah-hah moment with insight to the psycho's reasoning. That blew me away...but I totally got it in hindsight. Readers can easily identify with DI Simpkins character, her frustrations of a woman working in a man's world of police work, and her utter fanaticism to track down the vile criminal known as The Unicorn.

Another superb segment to the 'Justice' series by a talented author. The nice thing about Comley's series is she allows the reader a deeper look into her top three or four major characters' back story and personality. Lorne is the perfect MC because she's a determined and realistic woman. She takes a very hard knock in the previous novel (#2) and crumbles, as anyone might, but in this novel Lorne bounces back onto her mission...revenge on the heartless, evil 'Unicorn' (Baldwin).
In this page-turner, Comley uses her skill as a wordsmith and unfolds tense scenes sprinkled with her love for Dad and daughter, but still seeks a righteous justice.
I loved the tense ending as Comley brings this one to a close and sets up the next installment. Yes, I have already started 'Foul Justice'. Wow! What a beginning.
Again, Comley's editor is 'first-class' and gives the reader a near-perfect read with excellent grammar and punctuation...very unusual for many of today's Indie authors.
"Thank you, Mel, for another super story with great characters, dialogue, and descriptions. Keep writin' and smilin'..."

I have enjoyed reading the Justice Series. They kept my attention the entire books. As a matter of fact I read book 2 and 3 within 24 hours because I just had to know what would happen. Excellent, fast paced and full of twists and turns.

The events in this novel take place a year after those of the previous novel 'Impeding Justice' and are as fast paced.

Lorne is now an ex DI, divorced and recovering from a nervous breakdown. News reach her that her arch enemy The Unicorn has resurfaced in France. She and special agent Tony Warner embark on a mission to bring The Unicorn to Final Justice.

Will they succeed? Will Lorne be finally able to avenge her family and friends?

To find out you have to join her on another terrific breath taking adventure as only M.A.Comley with her bright talent could have written. I did and have really enjoyed every scene of this novel up till the quite fitting finale.

Well Done M.A.Comley!
