4.0 out of 5 stars The Final Lesson, June 9, 2006
This review is from: The Final Lesson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) (Paperback)
"The Final Lesson" sounds very... final - but the ending of the book is clearly not an ending at all, but the real beginning of the crime fighting for the Turtles.

Shredder, the evil ninja, has kidnapped Splinter and the Turtles are mad. They want their master back safely, but don't know what to do. They turn to April O'Neil for advice and when they are attacked by Shredder's gang, they flee to her country house. While there, Leonardo figures out their final lesson - that the ultimate mastery is of the mind. Gathering his brothers together around a campfire, Leo convinces them to meditate. The image of Splinter appears to them, telling them that he loves them and proving to them that Splinter is alive. With this lesson, the Turtles make plans to rescue Splinter.

The illustrations are nice and bright, not terribly detailed, very much like the cartoon series. Worth it for the TMNT fan.
