5.0 out of 5 stars Spookiest thing I ever read as a kid, September 26, 2009
I'm 23 and I remember this book from when I was about 10. I don't remember the storyline, but I do remember that the Cherry Street series comprised the scariest books I ever read as a kid. Seriously, if you're 10, nothing is spookier than this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scared the crap out of me when I was 10!, July 15, 2011
I read these about 16 years ago and they were the most terrifying thing I'd ever read. I ordered these out of one of those scholastic catalogs that used to be passed out at my school and while I remember very little about these books, I do remember reading late at night and being startled by every little sound I'd hear. It's a book that a child won't be able to put down, and won't easily forget.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great creepy, bone chiller for R.L.Sein fans, November 16, 1998
By A Customer
I'm a boy in Mr.Wells 5th grade class. My name is Vince and I like this book because it's really creepy. I am 10 years old. This is a great book full of spine chilling action. I like this book because it gave extreme details about the characters and other features. If I was in Jays' position I would go mad. It had an extremely exciting plot. It was mainly about a Witch trying to get a jewel. Now let me tell you about the setting. It was a great, creepy setting. I like how it sat on a hill with whispering pines surrounding it and a lake setting in back of the creepy old house. This made it seem like it was alive. Tha battles between Bobby and the witch were dtailed and terrifying. They were great battles between good and evil. I recommend the book because it gave me chills.

Ireally liked the book because I got goose bumps.I was still scared when there are even other kids in the room. It was dark and the Author did a good job she made the book be real. Jason is 12 years old in the book . He is very brave to go down in the basement. If I went down there I would freaked out. Sally is 4 years old she's Jason's sister. She has an imagenary friend name Bobby.Sally is sometimes annoying. One of the characters to watch for isTHE WITCH! She is so mean . She lives in the basement. The witch needs a bath and to brush her teeth.

Hi I am a strong youngman in 5th grade in Mr. Wells' classroom and I was amazed with this book! I loved this book beacuse ther was action, drokma, and comidy all rolled into one book. Jason was a cool kid , if I were him I would be sleeping ina tent outside. Jason protects Sally thruout the book. But he needs a little help from Bobby Mom and Dad don't have a clue about the batle of good and evil. Sally dosn't minde the house. She just plays with Bobby. She also gets into a tune of dangerus truble. In the house Bobby and the witch are fighting all the time. Being in the midle of the fight is as dangerus as a bull in a china shop. Steve and Loucie are very brave. They help Jason along the way. the are true friends.

4.0 out of 5 stars I personally feel that this book was fantastically writen., November 16, 1998
By A Customer
My name is Tamara Iam ten years old I'm also in 5th grade I'm not a big book fan but for these books I'm always a fan. The books I read were called The Haunting, The Horror and The Final Nightmare. The books are mostly about two kids that rent a summer house for a few days and they find out whats inside.Well whats really inside is a witch and she wants what she thinks is hers. I really like the way the author got into the minds of the charactors.I was able to picture how it would be.She had a varity of great scenes that were full of action. Jason is the most used charector in the story. Jason shows strength and courage against the witch .Jason and his friends have a battle with evil. The battle was so intense I oculd not take my eyes off the book. I don't think I could go through the intense action and horrifying fear like Jason did.
