5.0 out of 5 stars Yeah, I gave it 5 but...., September 19, 2005
This review is from: The Final Secret of Free Energy (Plastic Comb)
This is short book, you can read it in 30 minutes. Yes, but you will have to re-read it several times to take it in. That is because you are being asked to rethink the physics you learnt in school. It was hard to learn, but is even harder to unlearn. Even so, on my fourth rereading of the paper I finally got it.

START HERE

The core point is that energy and potential ARE THE SAME THING. From this it is but a short step to free energy. All you have to do is link a battery to a collector (an accumulator), call this circuit one. You then link your accumulator to load, call this circuit two. The two circuits remain electrically separate throughout. You switch on circuit one (leaving circuit two open) and create potential in your accumulator. BUT, BEFORE ANY ENERGY FLOWS (i.e. before the expiry of the "relaxation time" (see below) you switch it off again. At the same moment you switch on circuit two and power your load with the potential (the energy) created by circuit one. And then you repeat. The relaxation time depends on the material of your wires and your accumulator and it must not be too short or current will flow in circuit one and your first power source will deplete. Copper has an incredibly short relaxation time so you can't use in circuit one - you need a degraded semiconductor. Then you can expect to do your switching at around only once per microsecond (!) and you will be in phase with the on-off characteristics of your primary circuit. That is to say you will switch in time with the duration of your primary circuit's relaxation time.

Relaxation time is the time taken to create potential but before current flows. It is well known that in wires the electrons flow on the skin of the conductor. At the moment they get there, the potential has been created in the circuit. If any more time is allowed to pass then current will begin to flow. That current, if allowed to flow, makes it back to the negative pole of your battery and alters the chemistry that creates the potential, that is to say your battery runs down. If you cut off this flow of current before the expiry of the relaxation time you get potential and no current flow. Now go back to the start point of this explanation and read sentence one. Did you get that? If you did you are where I am. Go round again only if you have to.

END

You get all the physics behind this practical application and that is the tough part. But it isn't impossible, not even for a dawk like me (got an A level in Physics). So if I can do it...

At the end of this little book the author says that when, after 30 year trying to understand this, he finally worked it out he had contradictory emotions. First, he wanted to laugh for about two hours at everyones stupidity (including his own) and then to cry for two hours for the same reason.

Well my emotions are not the same. The first thing is that understanding is not the same as believing. Right now, as I type this I understand but I do not believe. To believe it I will need to see a device like this actually working before my very eyes, for a FOR A GOOD LONG TIME. Second, I will need to believe that Bearden is sane. Right now I know not too much about him. I like his loving sentiments (also to be found in the book) but that does not make his science right.

But third, and moreover, I feel like I am on a precipice. If Bearden is right then I have to accept (a) that Physics is wrong as it is taught in schools and Universities all over the world, which is incredible!!!!! but (b)that it is knowingly wrong i.e there are papers out there of considerable antiquity that prove Bearden right, (all properly referenced in the book) and classical electromagnetic theory wrong - and yet this information is simply not integrated into what students learn. If that is right, words fail me in regard to the human failings that permit such things. Has everyone gone to sleep? Is science this incompetent?

Another thing that bothers me is that this paper was written in the late 90s. Given the simplicity of the device - where are they?

Also, if you look at Bearden's website he is sponsoring a machine that is sufficiently complicated that he needs about $12m to finish it. Nothing here suggests anything like that money. In fact Bearden suggests a few hundred dollars would do the trick (the switching is where the cost is). I feel the need to know more.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Positive Alternative for Energy Conservation, February 27, 2000

This review is from: The Final Secret of Free Energy (Plastic Comb)
(Free energy), That I have recieved from any one source has been very limited. Water as well as light has been some of the ways I have used to generate power for various operations. I have been studying many different ways to creat energy. T.E. Bearden has expressed some very lodgical ways to creat energy from simple sources. I have expeienced from Mother Earth News, the way they use to creat energy from the sun and various other experements and they fall far short of the Ideal energy source. T.E. Bearden has given much thought and is very positive in his approch to Free energy. Sincerely Yours Dave Scharf.
