Jason Hiaeshutter is a veteran of the United States Air Force and has also served as a police officer in Michigan. Jason has written several independent short stories but Final Solution is his first novel.
Jason Hiaeshutter was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he lived until the age of 21. In 1996, Jason joined the US Air Force and spent time traveling from one end of the globe to the other. After seven years of active duty, Jason returned to Michigan where he remained in the Air National Guard and became certified as a police officer. Jason loves writing and has been doing it for as long as he can remember. He also loves reading and has discovered an extremely talented world full of self published authors out there. He is always on the lookout for other great self published stories.
Final Solution, a first novel by Jason Hiaeshutter, involves an interesting fast-paced plot that uses the horrific WWII experiments of Germany's Dr. Josef Mengele as inspiration. A secret society, pairing recent medical research with Mengele's experiments on cloning, is building an army of super warriors to take over the world. Unknown to Devin Vaughn, his wife Jodell is involved with this group; her untimely death unleashes evil forces that threaten Devin and his son Colton. With the help of Marcus, a disillusioned former member of this group, Devon races to save his son from assuming the role that has been ordained for him.
The twists and turns of the plot are interesting---the author keeps the reader engaged and guessing right up to the end. I feel the development of the characters is somewhat lacking. I really wish the author had provided more information about each of them---their backgrounds, reasons for their actions, their feelings, etc. What was the relationship between Devin and his wife? What is the background of Marcus---why did he quit the group? I had so many questions about these characters and why they did the things they did.
I do recommend this book to others who enjoy a creative, fast-paced plot. It will be interesting to see how the author's writing develops in future books.
I read the Kindle version of this book. There were a handful of copyediting errors that interrupted the flow of reading.
