5.0 out of 5 stars Great COURSE on FINALE!, November 12, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this book after being hired to score a complete musical for an arranger. I did not know FINALE at all. I decided on this book because it was from Berklee Press.... I am a Berklee grad.

This is not just a book.. it's a complete COURSE on Finale. It is structured like you are in class, so it progressively introduces you to the program. Constantly reviewing and reinforcing what you have already learned. I was up and running in no time on the program, and I am happy to report, I'm almost done scoring an ENTIRE MUSICAL!

Highly Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Huge Help!, March 27, 2007

This review is from: Finale: An Easy Guide to Music Notation (Guide (Berklee Press).) (Paperback)
I have been using Finale for years, 13 now. With all of the changes over the years and the fact that Make Music refuses to have a real book for the program, I bought this. I started from the very beginning and have learned so much. My skills are better and I can input faster than ever. I have learned how to do do thing I never new were possible, and I did not have to try and look up on the useless PDF that comes with Finale. You can also get an update for Final 2006 on line. This is great to start from the beginning and work all the way to the end. You will be a pro in no time. It is fast and easy to work through.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book!, March 31, 2007
This book is excellent. I bought it for a notation class, and it is just what I was looking for. The lessons are gradually challenging, and they present the opportunity to apply the previous material learned and learn new techniques. It is very complete, and most of the steps to follow are properly illustrated. Buy it!!!!
