5.0 out of 5 stars Truly one of the best Eurodance groups today!!!, December 4, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Finally +3 (Audio CD)
"Finally" is the first album by Solid Base that was released. It has very energetic dance music and very nice singing. There is a bit of rap incorporated into some songs but it all sounds fantastic -- an excellent eurodance combination. I would recommend this album to anyone, even those who are more into US kind of music, but most of all for Eurodance and Hi NRG fans. What makes this album great (just as their second album that's called "The Takeoff" that was released in 1998) is that all their songs are incredible. They are very original and it is really worth buying a CD that will have all great songs, instead of spending a lot of money on a CD which has only 2 or 3 good ones. So this one is a definite "Buy It"!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent eurodance album, June 13, 2005

The first Solid Base album is, after "Express", my second favourite from this project. It was released in 1996, so it's more classic eurodance than "Express". With the exception of "Never Find A Love", which is another ballad that should not be on a eurodance album, the rest is great stuff. My favourite track has to be "How Can We Survive", well, it's classic eurodance. Other nice tracks in this style are "Let It All Be Sunshine", "Stars In The Night", "Mirror Mirror", "In Your Dreams", "Fly To Be Free", "Together", well this is all awesome stuff. I also love "All My Life" and "Dancing With An Angel". These tracks are euro-reggae this time, a bit like Ace Of Base, more in the dance style however. "Bom Bom Bam Bam Bay", "You Never Know", these are dance tracks but not really classic eurodance. This album is simply a must-have for eurodance lovers like me. Also check out their other albums... they are all great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some Great 90's Eurodance classics here... from Sweden., June 25, 2004

This is a 1996 Eurodance album, and Solid Base's debut. It comes from a time when Eurodance artists like DJ Bobo. Masterboy and many others were releasing tons of Extremely catchy, hooky, and melodic songs with driving beats and synths.... and usually rather simplistic lyrics. Another Swedish pop/dance band Ace of Base was also very popular in those days.

The female singer here is Isabelle Heitman and the male rapper is Thomas Nordin. All songs were written by Swedish composers/producers Mattias Eliasson and Jonas Eriksson, and these guys knew how to create a catchy melody, though the lyrics are mostly simplistic.

IMO The best songs on this CD are the Classic Eurodance ones:
Together
In Your Dreams
Let It All be Sunshine

These 3 are Awesome, and are the Best on the Album. great dance music.

More poppy but still good are (some of these are similar to Ace of Base Pop style):
How Can We survive
Stars in the Night
Fly to be Free
You never Know
Dancing with an Angel
All My Lofe
Bom bom bam mab Bay - nice dance euro reggae
Never Find Love - a slow love ballad, and I think a cover too.

The only song on this album I don't like is "Mirror Mirror". it's catchy, But stupid and annoying.

so if you like European Pop (ie Ace of Base) or Eurodance (ie La Bouche) or lite Poppy techno music, than this is a Great album to get. It's a Great 90's Dance/Pop album with some Great songs and some that are just nice.

Lyrics are Simplistic, buy hey they're not English - speaking people.
