Makes Me Happy, May 23, 2007

There really haven't been many great collaborations this past year. Not only that, the ones that have surprised me, have been from artists I'm not too familiar with. Macy Gray is one of those acts. Although she has brought a Neo-Soul style in the late 90's, early 2000's, her latest single works nicely. Finally Made Me Happy, her collaboration with R&B diva Natalie Cole is one of the best songs I've heard this past year. The signature single from Macy's record Big, is a delightful song. I like it because it brings a great feeling from her raspy voice. She and Natalie capture a really great song well. I hope that these two can do another really great song like this one soon.
