Book Description

Finally Satisfied is the third and final novella in the Satisfaction series.
25,000 words

Angel Kensington has never gotten over giving her baby up for adoption sixteen years ago. She's spent the time since then fighting panic attacks, hiding from her feelings, and isolating herself into a well-regimented existence. She has no room in her life for changes, complications, or men.

Mitch Turner presents a definite challenge for Angel. He's the wrong man for her, even if she wanted a man in her life. Why won't he just leave her alone?

Mitch has felt responsible for what his family did to Angel. They'd treated her like trash, left her to flounder with no hope of keeping her baby. He'd offered to marry her back then, but she'd not only turned him down flat, she'd avoided him ever since.

But now Cara and Gray are getting married and Angel is the maid of honor and Mitch is the best man. Angel can't avoid Mitch any longer, and she can no longer avoid facing her past. But are Mitch's feelings for Angel real, or are they just guilt over something he couldn't fix?

4.0 out of 5 stars ;0) January 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition

Angel has dealt with issues for the past sixteen years when she had to give her baby up for adoption. These issues have left her secluding herself off from the outside world. Mitch has always tried to make up for what his family did to Angel since they were younger. Over the years nothing seems to work with Angel, so Mitch is fed up with trying. With Cara and Gray's pending wedding, maybe Angel will have a change of heart.

I liked `Finally Satisfied'; the title was surely fitting for the story line. The mood of this story felt a bit different from the first two books, but it was still very much likeable for me and with a sweet and wonderful conclusion to the series. As I mentioned before in my review Perfectly Satisfied (Satisfaction) , I would advise the reader to read book 1 and 2 first, that way, you have a feel for the characters and a better understanding of everyone's story so you won't feel lost with knowing each character.

The story continues as Angel's sister Cara and Mitch's cousin Gray from Satisfaction Guaranteed are planning their wedding. With this wedding, it forces Angel to interact with Mitch as she doesn't want to be around him because of their history. Why I felt the way I did about the mood of the storyline for the third installment was Angel's story and issues dealing with adoption and giving up her baby felt serious for me in what she was dealing with. However, seeing her unfold bit by bit was also good to read. I definitely fell in love with Mitch because he wanted what was best for her and he went above and beyond for her, even though she frustrated him at times. But his determination towards her was very heart warming to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Need more Satisfaction! January 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have read the entire series and believe Finally Satisfied is a great addition. I was captivated by the characters developed in this novella and enjoyed reading more about the people I met in the previous two books in the series. Ms. Scott has a delightful way of linking the characters and creating complexity throughout. I hope this is not the last in the Satisfaction series - they each leave you wanting to know more about the players and "now what happens?" I highly recommend all of Ms. Scott's books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute and heartwarming July 22, 2012

This was a sweet, short story.

Angel is young, beautiful, and somewhat successful. But her life has been on hold for sixteen years - ever since she was forced to give up her son for adoption (forced by the father's family). Her family has made many allowances for her depression but her sister, Cara, is getting married and begs her to be Maid of Honor. Reasonable enough. Except, the Best Man is Mitch, the brother of the boy who got her pregnant and then ditched her. His mere presence is enough to bring back terrible memories and a terrifying attraction. Can Angel avoid him? And should she?

There were a few potholes that could easily be fixed.
1) Why didn't Mitch's brother of parents attend the wedding. The groom was Mitch's first cousin... I would have loved to see Angel face the people who nearly destroyed her life.
2) Angel never told her friends or family who impregnated her or the true reason she chose adoption. A sixteen year old keeping that type of secret? Please.
3) After sixteen years of panic attacks and little social interaction, it only takes Angel a month of therapy to heal and rejoin the world. I would have a preferred a more realistic time line.

So if I found so many problems, why did I give the novel 4 stars? Because you can't expect perfection from a 77 page, $0.99 book. This book was still heartwarming and I loved the characters.

More About the Author

Tori Scott is a former Golden Heart finalist, a two-time Rone Award nominee, a finalist in the International Digital Awards, and a semi-finalist in the Best Indie Books of 2012. She lists several publications among her accomplishments, including a featured Christmas story--The Christmas Wish--in Woman's World magazine.

Tori loves reading, swimming, photography, traveling, and especially writing. When she can talk him into it, she loves riding on the back of her husband's Harley. She's an animal lover, and though she's now down to one dog, at one point she owned cows, chickens, goats, rabbits, ducks, four dogs, and a mule named Doc. You'll likely find animals of one kind or another in her books.

Tori was born in West Texas, and she loves to use it as a setting for her cowboy books because the people who were born and raised there have a code of ethics that makes for great heroes. It takes a tough man or woman to deal with the tornadoes, dust storms, hail, blizzards, rattlesnakes, and drought that are so common in the Panhandle. But they handle whatever comes their way and become stronger for it.

Tori's husband is the inspiration for many of her heroes. He's a country boy who can build a house, ride a Harley, handle a rifle in defense of his family, and wade into a pack of fighting dogs to save her precious Blue Heeler. What more could you ask for?
