Awesome comeback,

Even better that "Infliction", the whole album is absolutely enjoyable. Audrey keeps singing like no other contemporary female vocalist and the guitar is also improved from the last record. There's still hope for british music with bands like this.

It's Been Years...And Finally...,

I first heard Scheer on a radio beer commercial in 1996...and they have been my favorite band ever since. The driving guitars, Audrey's haunting melodies, the heart-wrenching passion in every song, so beautiful that I still cry when I listen. It had been years since I bought Infliction (Scheer's first cd) and I thought I would never hear from them again, until...And Finally. Once again I found myself surrended to Scheer. The One Forgot, Slowly, and Secrets and Lies are my favorite tracks on this cd. ...And Finally, they couldn't have titled this one more appropriately. And for any of you who have waiting for this album as desperately as I have, you won't be disappointed. Scheer once again lets you shed your skin until you reach your bones.

Irelands Best Kept Secret,
By Allan (Toronto, Ont CANADA) - See all my reviews

Scheer's demise was pre-mature proving that business and good music often don't mix. "And Finally..." is the last stamp of what we knew as Scheer and what a mark it is. The way "First Contact" builds is incredible. Audrey Gallagher's voice sends chills up your spine and makes the hairs on your arms stand on end. Combine that with Neil's twisting guitars and the world truly has a masterpiece here. "Slowly" is thought provoking and beautiful, in every sense of the word. It truly is a shame that their popularity never got a chance to grow to it's full potential, but the strong and loyal fanbase now have something to pass along to their friends and music lovers in general. Pick up this album and you won't be disappointed and pat yourself on the back for discovering what truly is...Ireland's Best Kept Secret !!!

A must-buy for anyone with the first album. This one is great too. The sound is more polished (good or bad?). I dont listen to much guitar rock but if it were all more like this, I'd ....own more Scheer!

Independent music at its best,

I've been looking a very long time for this album.. The independent music of this band is beautiful, mixing the emotional voice of the singer and the rock and roll guitars. The atmosphere is quite dark, though. I put it next to Belly albums :)The sound is clear, but strong.

I come from the same small town in northern ireland as these guys, and they were local heros to all the young music heads, this album shows the quality of original music in ireland and the song "Say what you came to say" is an undiscovered classic. the singer and guitarist (Audrey and Neal) have a new band called Lima, sort of scheer meets portishead, not scheer but a damn good substitute.

The great prize for a long wait,

I am so impressed by this record that it is difficult to describe. The first time i heard Secrets And Lies i felt something crawling through my spine like few songs can do it. It really made me cry...Scheer's comeback - although they are gone now - is a great deal for those who are in a constant search for something new on the so-called "alternative" scene. ...And Finally contains some of the best tunes i've heard in a long time. You will be haunted by Audrey's voice, which is so sweet and innocent that it serves as the perfect face for the great melodies that fill Scheer's landscape. Don't miss this one if you love good alternative rock...
