Excellent pop-country music, May 18, 2009
This review is from: Finally (Audio CD)
The two singles released from this album (Only one you, Finally) both made number one on the country charts. They are brilliant, especially the first-named song in which T G points out that the wonders of the world only come in ones. Yet there are plenty of other great songs here that might have been hits for T G had they been released as singles.
One song that may be familiar to country fans from elsewhere, since both the Oak Ridge Boys and Conway Twitty also recorded it, is I wish you could have turned my head and left my heart alone. I believe the Oaks had a country hit with it, but this wasn't the only time that another artist had a hit with a song that T G didn't release as a single.
All my cloudy days are gone, my favorite among the other seven tracks, certainly sounds good enough to have merited a single release. With six other incredible songs (Crazy in the dark, Wasn't it a short forever, In another minute, You're the first to last this long, She's got everything it takes to make me stay), this is another fine effort from T G Sheppard.
