This is one of the best books for starting accounting it is unnecessarily detailed in places, still it is a really good book and the practice problems and solved examples are very good for learning numerical concepts and revising theory.

Not all textbooks are good at teaching. However, this book is phenomenal and explains everything necessary to understand elementary accounting with remarkable clarity. It is concise yet thoroughly detailed. Anything that I didn't understand at first was clearly explained chapter after chapter. Very, very well done. I couldn't imagine a better book to learn the fundamental level of accounting.

It seems to me that it is a well written book and fairly easy to read and understand. My instructor doesn't really care for the book as much as I do, but I'm just the student. Would recommend.
