This review is from: Oil Company Financial Analysis in Nontechnical Language (Pennwell Nontechnical Series) (Hardcover)
Mr. Johnston's book is an excellent read for those that are looking for a concise, easy to understand introduction to financial statement analysis. He gives a simple overview of different methods of valuation, discusses issues regarding funded/un-funded pensions and even goes over pooling of interest mergers and such. I was not so much interested in the oil accounting part of the book but rather the financial statement analysis part of the book. His book was well worth it if that is what you're looking for.

P.S. The summary of the book says it is 28 pages. This is incorrect. It's probably about 300 pages.
