Book Description

January 1, 2007
What is money? Is it the all-too-common dollar bill? Coins made by the US mint? A credit card? A checkbook? Our founding fathers did not think so. The answer, easily found in the Constitution, has been buried over the centuries by evil, greedy men. Unfortunately, we the people have bought into the idea that items other than gold and silver can be used as money. And our acquiescence will one day destroy us. How do we avoid the inevitable? How do we survive the economic collapse that will occur, perhaps in the near future? The answer is simple: we must return to the system of "just weights and measures" as is outlined in the Constitution and the scriptures. We must return to real money, to gold and silver, and turn from the evils of fiat money. This book, a valuable source of information and advice about financial stability, has the answers that can save you in an economic collapse. Learn what you can do now to protect yourself and your family from the approaching financial Armageddon.

This book provides an excellent explanation of the hidden tax called inflation. Our government and its partner in crime, The Federal Reserve, are stealing our money! This book points to the key players in our nation's history who are responsible for the confiscation of our wealth through the inflation of our currency. It explains how our currency went from being backed by gold and silver, as the Constitution mandates, to being backed by nothing more than debt. I would recommend that everyone who wants to better understand our monetary system read this book. It is easy to read and it focuses on facts. It also provides some great ideas on how to preserve your wealth in these times of financial uncertainty. A must read!

Silver and Gold February 7, 2007
Format:Paperback
I had no idea our country was so financially insecure. To me gold and silver were metals used in jewelry. I did not realize our very own Constitution mandated that we use these metals as money. The biggest eye opener for me is how the Federal Reserve is able to create money basically out of thin air and then "loan" it to our government. It makes me angry just thinking about it! I personally will start taking the necessary actions the author describes to protect myself. I found this book easy to read, and would highly recommend it. Mr. Draughon's analogies were simple but effective when explaining his concepts. I felt as though he really wanted his audience to learn something.

The information in this book, about gold vs. fiat money, was not new to me. I've been studying this for a number of years. I liked reading it because it explained our current situation in an easy to understand manner, using examples and personal stories from the author. I've been trying to warn my friends about the coming financial collapse, and the dangers of fiat currencies, but haven't been able to effectively show them the big picture. This book does just that. I plan on stocking up on extra copies for loved ones who are still "sleeping".
