5.0 out of 5 stars Very comprehensive and nice to read!, May 22, 2009
This review is from: Financial Crises: A detailed view on financial crises between 1929 and 2009 (Paperback)
Very educating, comprehensive and interesting book. I don't think that Porter left anything out that lead to the current financial crisis and past crises. What I especially enjoyed are the discussions that get introcudeced after the crises are explained in detail. If everybody would have read this book, we would not have slided into this big crisis.
Really, a great and comprehensive book! Suitable for every collage class in finance and economics.

5.0 out of 5 stars worth every penny!, December 9, 2009
This review is from: Financial Crises: A detailed view on financial crises between 1929 and 2009 (Paperback)
This book is really worth every penny. It is very well written, easy to understand and very very interesting. It highlights all the major events that happend in the last crisis but also the crises of the last century. The reader develops a feeling for when the next crises might happen and we can simply learn so much out of the past. I think if everybody would read this book the next financial ciris would not hit us that hard, because most people would be able to interprete the signes and know how to prepare.
