Nothing new, poorly written,

This review is from: Financial Purity (Paperback)
I've read several books on personal finance, most of them written from a biblical point of view. Psalidas' effort is a rehash of what Crown Financial Ministries and Financial Peace University (Dave Ramsey) have advised for years. However, her work isn't organized in a logical way, nor is it written professionally. Young people (which I assume was her target audience) might not have an issue with the writing, but it distracted me from start to finish. I purchased this book to give to my college-age daughter, but decided against giving it to her because of the poor organization. Instead, I intend to write out a plan for her, using ideas from this book but also from others and my own experience. I think it would serve her better. Psalidas has good ideas (mostly), but the product itself falls short.

More than I expected,
This review is from: Financial Purity (Paperback)
For a money book to intrigue me this way it is more than I expected. I first heard about this book from a website I frequent often and when I read it, it was a book that really meant something to me. For example, I have always thought that having a will was for the rich, the parents, the couple, the investors...basically everyone else but me. Ms. Psalidas has done a wonderful job explaining why EVERYONE needs a will and what the consequences can sometimes lead to.
As a single woman, you think you do not need to consider these things, but they are often more important when single. Ms. Psalidas' insight into Financial Purity is quite nice and inspiring to want to take care of your money, your life, your vision and your ideas. Many times we see that other people get rich and get wealthy but not us, never us. Financial Purity helps you to see, understand and feel money in a whole new way. This book touches on how we often think we can never be wealthy, but what are we doing to break that habit? This book is special, a very special read. I recommend it to everyone especially to single woman!

A boost to your finances!,
By
This review is from: Financial Purity (Paperback)
I know there are many books out there trying to help you in your finances during this economy! This book is different and this is the book you should read! I was very surprised when I read it because purity you think belongs in marriage and relationships, but carrying it over into your money is something that we should all be thinking about. Topics include your attitude, debt, organization, wills to name a few. It is pretty neat and can help anyone! I truly loved it!

A different kind of financial book,
By
This review is from: Financial Purity (Paperback)
One that goes beyond..."put your money here and there and then...do this..." This is a new idea that has me totally excited! The author suggests to build your portfolio from scratch according to your vision...now that speaks to me better than trying to learn complicated stuff. There is also strong and good information about debt that will inspire, help and encourage all of us one step at a time!

Excellent book!,
This review is from: Financial Purity (Paperback)
A fresh new look at money that keeps you interested and NOT bored! I was looking for a good book on money but always found books with complicated information or too detailed, long and boring stories about "how I became rich" kind of information. Finally, something I could benefit from.

Who knew?,
This review is from: Financial Purity (Paperback)
Who knew you could carry purity over into your finances! I never really thought about it. I got this book more out of curiosity than need, and I realized I needed this in my life. This financial lifestyle is pretty cool and amazing - I won't spoil the fun on what the author talks about, but you will learn something new. If you are interested in a money book that does not intimidate you, this is the one for you. You will be surprised on what is presented for Financial Purity.

Financial goodies,
This review is from: Financial Purity (Paperback)
I have long since been a fan of Ms. Psalidas. Her theme on purity has always been delivered with sharp insight and detail. You would think purity only applies physically and emotionally, but delivering it to the finance world was brilliant. The book is fun and easy to read, encouraging you to want to look at your finances with a fresh approach. If you are looking for a book to help you during this economy and beyond, this is the book for you. You will not find better advice elsewhere.

New concept,
By
This review is from: Financial Purity (Paperback)
The concept of this book is very well put together and quite interesting. If you are looking for a book about money management that is easy and simple, this is a good book to read. It helps us to establish and build good financial principles while learning small but very effective tips financial experts don't talk about. A good read!
