This book will help you interrogate yourself about how and why you made those choices that influenced your career path. It will also help you to discover those values which, if pursued, will inevitably lead you to a fulfilling work life. Whether you are a fresh graduate or you've been on what seems the wrong path for too many years, it is up to your to take the leap, and break the chains of internal/external pressures that lead you to a place of a misalignment. I have yet to reach fulfillment, but this book made me believe that it is possible, and I will keep persevering and exploring. - A wide achiever that hopes to become a high achiever one day.

“Happiness is that state of consciousness which proceeds from the achievement of one’s values.” ~Ayn Rand

I liked the fact that it was concise, didn't rely on fantasy success stories. It is an attempt to understand why we act like we do and the reasoning behind our actions.
Also I liked that it doesn't promise you magic tricks to find your dream job (and also specifying that there is no such thing as a dream job and everything will have at some point or another thinks that we are not so keen of doing), but through some simple questions it encourages you to do a bit of introspection and know yourself better.

This book dispenses with all the typical nonsense you'll usually hear on this topic: "follow your heart", "dream big" and all the rest. The author presents realistic, effective ways of *actually* discovering your passion, even without giving up your full-time job at first.

Inspirational book. Well worth it considering we spent a great deal of our lives working. For those of us lucky enough to explore alternative jobs, Roman suggested why we should be braver in exploring those options because extrinsic reward like money is usually only a necessary but not sufficient return we should get from our work.

This is a wonderful book with good ideas - while it's impossible to write a how-to-get-a-job book that works for everyone, this book asks you to reflect on your life goals and to look at where decisions you make may lead you.
