From the Author

Everybody's story of how they met and fell in love is uniquely their own. Well, this is Daisy and Belmont's story and it is uniquely theirs. I'm very aware that most men these days are not prone to go after what they want like Belmont Lord did in this book. Single men live and love by the Internet these days. I think most women have forgotten what it's like to be pursued. Before online dating, this is what men used to do! They had to go for it offline or they'd be alone!

So just let your mind take you back to the old days, and simply enjoy this fast and hot love affair--because it is love, and heck of a lot of lust!

She is running from a recent breakup. He sees her and is "in love" but its more like lust-at-first-sight. He says he's in love but all he thinks about is having sex with her. And he's left her hanging a few times. She is a bit of a wet rag, letting him boss her around. I thought he was rather obsessive about her. No character development but there's plenty of sex. Not a romance in my opinion.

I thought I was reading about high schoolers until I read they were 35. Even the most immature 35 year olds don't act like that. 6 days after meeting (most of which they weren't even speaking) they get engaged while having sex. First thing he says after is that he owns her tits. A minute later she finds out she might be pregnant and he says he's noticed a change. My word, I seriously wonder how some books get published. I'm embarrassed to say I read that. It was so awful, I need a new word for awful.

I've read some really terrible books but this is definitely one of the WORST! The first chapter was iffy- broken hearted girl tells a good looking stranger that she's alone on the island for work (kind of a no-no, this is how kidnapping happens) then she gives him her address so he can drive her home... Yes. I'm serious. And the creep factor increases until chapter 3 or 4 when suddenly, 24 hours into their new friendship, they're in love. Then it just plummets into a sloppy plot- boy and girl have awesome sex over and over again, a few variables are thrown in to make the guy look not so perfect, girl gets confused but boy convinces her he's worth it by saying NOTHING but instead "shows" her how he feels, book ends.

This book was free when I downloaded it, thank goodness, however the hour of my life it took me to read the first few chapters then skim the rest of the book is something I wish I could have back. The plot is awful- the climax, I assume, is the dinner party near the end of the book. On top of that, the whole story takes place in a matter of days. The characters do not develop at all and half the book is about sex- the unbelievable kind that only women who have never had an orgasm could believe...

I wish the publisher had said no to this book for the authors sake- a slightly better book might have made me wait to give a review until after I'd read her other work. Its unfortunate that stuff like this gets published, giving romance novels/chick lit a bad name.

First, every summer I go to Martha's Vineyard and after reading this book I have to wonder if the author actually went to MV. Instead, I was left with the impression that the author used google maps to identify locations on the Vineyard. Also, early November on MV is freezing. People would not be walking around in tank tops, thin dresses and definitely not swimming in the ocean. Furthermore, where are these forests that the author wrote about? The million dollar properties are not hidden and are clearly seen from the road.

Second, the storyline was so unbelievable and lame. The hero was a clear nut job, and he never explained to the heroine why he was kissing the skank at the wedding. I also felt that the characters were unrealistic. If the hero was a blue blood then he would never have needed to become a gigolo. People typically become prostitutes for the money not because they couldn't make it in Hollywood. Furthermore, the MV bluebloods all go to ivy leagues. So unrealistic. Also, how "convenient" that the hero knew her backstabbing best friend. Ridiculous. I read the entire book out of consideration for the author, but am glad it was free. It is not worth more than free.

If your going to attempt to write sex scenes you need to be able to use more sophisticated words than "pole", "chee chees" and "sugar cave" (to name the most ridiculous). The characters are in their mid thirties but talk about their own bodies and sex like embarrassed teenagers. And there was no depth to any emotions. It's all "omg I am falling in love with him" and "I can't get enough of you". That's it. It's a flighty shallow story, but not the worst thing I've read.

I have to wonder if the author was drinking way too much caffeine when she wrote this book. The characters had no depth, By page 5 the page character was already in a new relationship with a complete stranger after supposedly finding out her ex-boyfriend is marrying her best friend. I know this book was free but how am i going to get reimbursed for my time wasted?

A lot of holes in this book, i know it's fiction but it has to have some basis in reality. The relationship between the characters had no foundation. Not to my liking at all.

Honestly I am not sure why I finished this book. Mostly just to see what unbelievable thing the author would write next. Seriously it was like what stupid thing could I come up with as a story line....now some sex....okay what is the most unbelievable twist I can toss in....now some more sex....okay guess I need to write some story/plot stuff now so what is the most ridiculous thing I can write...sex again...one more stupid plot twist...sex ...the end.

There were occasional moments of pretty funny one liners surrounded by truly awful sex scenes using horrible descriptions of body parts like "pole" I am glad it was free but at this point I feel like someone should have paid me to read it.
