5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!
I've listed to Happy since the early 90's and had high expectations for her first album in almost a decade. I'm not disappointed (ignore the lame cover art - she says she hacked it out in twenty minutes and it shows).

Her haunting voice at both ends of the register remains strong, and the lyrics on Find Me are possibly her best ever - never perky and light,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Big Disapointment
I LOVE Happy Rhodes' earlier albums, such as "Ecto" and "Rhodes Songs," (a compilation of her earlier, more acoustic material). Her last two albums leave me very disappointed. I don't like the tech-y electronic stuff at all. The range of Happy's voice is incredible, but is totally lost on her recent work.

Her haunting voice at both ends of the register remains strong, and the lyrics on Find Me are possibly her best ever - never perky and light, always personal and affecting. When's the next one coming out?

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST ALBUM OF 2007, March 1, 2008

Without a doubt, Find Me is my favorite album of 2007. At a concert in 2003, Happy played songs from her forthcoming album. I eagerly waited. And waited. And waited. Finally in 2007 Find Me was released. It was well worth the wait. Much has been written about Happy's dynamic vocal range. It is hard to believe that all the vocals on this album are from the same woman. The songs on this album are all wonderful, the opening track "One and Many" being my favorite. The lyrics on this album deal with themes Happy has explored throughout her past 10 albums, namely the desire to be accepted, included, yet maintain her individuality. Give yourself a nice gift today and buy this cd. You deserve it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Listen to it free, January 10, 2009

October 2009: An update to this post. All 11 of Happy's albums are now on YouTube (with her permission of course). [...]

This is one of the best albums of 2007, though it was sadly ignored. I don't care for the cover, but the music inside is breathtaking, especially the songs "Find Me," "Charlie" and "Treehouse."

While "Find Me" doesn't have the fireworks of her 1998 "Many Worlds Are Born Tonight," the songs on Happy Rhodes' 2007 "Find Me" are beautiful, interesting, and emotionally compelling. Repeated listenings are very rewarding. The instrumentation is complex, with multi-layered vocals, state-of-the-art synths and effects, and an array of ethnic percussion. Her songs grow organically, and with a good dose of prog rock sensibility, with songs unfolding into small journeys. My favorites tracks are 'Find Me,' 'Can't Let Go,' and 'Treehouse,' but in truth every track has hooks of fascination that pull the listener in.
