1.0 out of 5 stars No dates given for the events. No acknowledgement from the police or any third party's information that I can verify, July 25, 2009
This review is from: Find Me: How Psychic Detectives from Around the World Have Banded Together to Find Missing People (Paperback)
It reads like a commercial for psychics. It tells me what each psychic did but it does not give the date. Neither does it provide any acknowledgement from the police nor any third party's information that I can verify. As a result, I find it very difficult to believe its claims.

For example, in chapter 9 "Clairvoyance" from page 39 to 57, it talks about Eileen Nelson, a psychic. It takes almost 5 pages to describe in details Eileen's clairvoyance techniques. It talks about a couple of Eileen's achievements. One of them is about a missing man named Chris from New York. No last name was given. When a friend of the family contacted Eileen for help, Eileen had a vision that Chris had been picked up by a driver and was still alive at that time. According to the book, it turned out to be true. It says Chris's sister called Eileen and confirmed that. However, it does not give me any reliable information from a third party that I can verify. The whole book is like that when it covers the stories of other psychics. My search on the Web did not yield any reliable information about Eileen. How can I believe them?

It contains a handful of photos of the psychics.

If you want to learn psychics' techniques, you might find some hints here. If you're looking for some facts that will make you believe in these things, you won't find any.

I find A Mind for Murder from Noreen Renier is more believable and interesting. In the comments on the first page of this book, Robert Ressler, a retired FBI, confirmed Noreen accurately predicted President Regan's shooting 3 months in advance. The book also shows a picture of a report from FBI saying they thought she's a legitimate psychic

5.0 out of 5 stars Hopeful help for missing persons and unsolved murder cases., July 1, 2007
This review is from: Find Me: How Psychic Detectives from Around the World Have Banded Together to Find Missing People (Paperback)
Excellent reading about how a psychic team works on missing persons and murder cases in a unique way, all together, with law enforcement.

Each chapter has a different psychic/intuitive's story of how they work, along with their own individual story of their gifts and how they use them, with advice on how to learn and develop your own skills to do similar work.

Very inspiring, and interesting how the internet can connect people from all over the world, in the common goal of finding lost loved ones. I highly recommend this book.

As a detective I can use any edge I can get. The book opened my eyes to other avenues to utilize when searching for missing persons.
