I don't know if you've found me here because you do have 100+ pounds to lose or maybe less. Either way, I want you to know that the book series that you see below is a labor of love for me.

I've lost 120 lbs (the picture you see here) which left me feeling healthy, fit and capable of anything I set my mind to...AND my story continues as someone who found herself looking at a weight gain of almost half that weight 2.5 yrs later.

I don't want to be that person who is selling you a formula for losing weight fast and fixing your life, yet hiding behind my own weight and insecurities. I will tell you straight out that you and I are very much the same. I'm not perfect in this and I like to call myself a work-in-progress for sure.

I know what it's like to feel like giving up. I know what it's like to let the weight control our lives.

PLEASE hear me when I say that you are not alone and you REALLY can change your life.

You are fully capable and you don't need a fad diet or a fast weight loss plan.

You do need to be able to believe in yourself and you need to know that YOU can create a very realistic plan that will have you losing weight AND enjoying your life as you do so. It is possible and it's not JUST about the scale.

I hope that you will allow me to "walk with you" as you create a plan for your own success. I would love nothing more than to hear from you and celebrate your successes along the way.

I loved this book so much! I am in the process of losing weight and I have to lose 83 lbs. I have ben able to lose 27 of those lbs to date. I do tend to do like the author said "you start off with a bang and then the urges come along and you are on your way eating what you fancy!" This is completly me and I am so thankful there are others like that besides me. Anyway, if you need to lose a lot of weight read her books I've not been disapointed yet!

The author is in my head, I swear! I love the aha moment about it being in our heads and I know exactly what episode she's talking about because I felt that too. And I've shied away from bikes but her story makes me rethink this. I really love how she combines practical advice (not typical diet advice but something more real) with her story so we see how it can happen for us, too. And it's not so rigid that it sets me up for failure. Her advice for motivating myself through this journey is a perfect fit for me. Also, she wasn't perfect and she did it - so that takes a lot of pressure off.

This book is a quick and interesting read filled with tons of valuable information. One of the most difficult parts of losing weight is to get the motivation and keep the motivation to achieve your goals.

How to Find the Motivation to Lose Wight and Get Healthy outlines in great detail ways to create a positive vision, create a new story, and get the support you need to stay motivated. I know this book will help anyone who is trying to lose a substantial amount of weight.

For a how to book and one more "rah rah" cheer you on and pep talk book, this book actually is kind of spot on. It is short enough that you don't feel bogged down. It gives you enough information that you feel armed with some great tools and ideas that are actually workable and easy to put into practice. The author keeps it flexible, but still guided. She gives great references and way to use what you have to get to where you want to be. She incorporates your mental, physical, spiritual and emotional aspects and what can be done to make them arranged into who you want to be. I have been on 27 years of dieting and trying to get healthy and literally over $200,000 in diets, hospitals, foods, exercise and gyms... shoot - throw in the counseling surgeries and programs... I'm prob closer to 4-5 hundred thousand of my parents, insurance and my own money! This book has the basics and some fresh ideas all spelled out and waiting for you to fill in.

What an inspiring book! I was so encouraged by the upbeat tone that I read through the whole thing in one sitting...and then came back to savor it slowly. So many times I have made it to twenty pounds of my goal weight but then gave up from the boredom and drudgery of dieting. This book re-routes your focus onto personally meaningful goals that reinforce weight loss while being fun, inspiring, and challenging. It isn't so much about "dieting" as it is becoming healthy in mind and body. I appreciate that the author shares from what she has lived, like a friend, rather than someone dispensing dry information from reports or "client experiences." This is by far the best motivation I have read for losing weight and pursuing health, especially for someone who has quite a bit of weight to lose.

I have been overweight for over ten years. It is something that I am both ashamed about and yet reconciled to. At my age I didn't think it would be possible for me to lose weight. I have tried other programs and other books, probably just like you, and nothing seemed to work over the long term. And then someone recommended I read this book and I am so glad that I did. For the first time I felt like someone knew what it was like to be me - how I hated putting lotion on my body after a shower, or how I don't get my nails done anymore, or go for months without a haircut. Well what does that have to do with losing weight you might ask? Buy the book and find out for yourself because I promise you, you will be glad that you did. I didn't read the first book so I am going to get that one now. And if you are tired of how you look and feel then read this book - it will help.

What I love about this book is that it is written by someone who has already lost weight and is still in the process of reaching her goal. She knows what her readers are going through and can speak from real experience. It is so refreshing!

This is actually the first book of the series I read and it was life changing. I've never felt so sure of myself and motivated to lose weight and I think this book for getting me started. She will help get you motivated and teach you to find your own motivation to keep going!

This book is full of great advice for anyone wanting to lose any amount of weight really. Some of the tips are things you may have heard before, but are worded so that you understand how to best implement them in your life. There are many great ideas in the book including where to find support and how to find your own internal motivation for losing weight. Highly recommended!
