this book was just another clone of so many Indian romance novels.I sent it back.
I wish there wa a Native American author ,who would write a love story about their own culture ,instead of white women authors ,who know nothing about them.Does anyone out there know any Indian authors?

5.0 out of 5 stars I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN, March 11, 2001
This review is from: A Find Through Time (Paperback)
A Find Through Time came as a pleasant surprise to me. As it had been 15 years since I read a romance novel, I really didn't know what to expect. What I read was a story that kept my interest from the start. Ms. Petit's book is not one of those predictable,"cookie cutter" romance novels. It is intelligently thought out and obviously well reasearched. The characters are charming, and I could care about them. I couldn't put the book down. I didn't want to wait to find out what would happen next; and what did happen was often unexpected.

This book is a true "romance"; however, those "tender scenes" are at appropriate times and places, and tastefully written. Unlike most romance novels, they are a development of the story.

I recommend A Find Through Time as a wonderful bit of escapism reading. I look forward to the author's next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A GREAT READ!!!!!!, March 15, 2001
This review is from: A Find Through Time (Paperback)
A Find Through Time is the best Native American love story I have ever read! If you love time travels, you'll love this one. The hero is to die for! The plot is well written with twists and turns that will leave you surprised until the very last page. For anyone who's interested in The Battle of the Little Bighorn, who's a romantic at heart and loves to read about the Native American culture, you'll find Ms. Petit's book an enjoyable read which will keep you up at night until you finish that last page! I know quite a few guys out there that have read this book and share my feelings, which breaks the perception that romance books are only for women. I look forward to Ms. Petit's next book! Buy it now, you won't be sorry!

4.0 out of 5 stars EVEN GUYS WILL LIKE THIS ONE, June 16, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: A Find Through Time (Paperback)
I don't read romance novels. But when I watched my wife go through this one in two days, I gave it a try. It is a well told story that kept my interest as a man. Definately not too mushy and the guys weren't trashed.

I give it a four, because I sense that some of the history was edited out. Details of the Battle of Little Big Horn would have really rounded out this story and it's relationships with the charaters.

Otherwise, guys don't be afraid to be caught reading this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Put your feet up and make yourself a cup of tea!, April 12, 2011

This is historical fiction at its best. Author Petit writes with such authenticity and detail - that one can only assume she was channeling Native American energy when she wrote it. Her powerful depiction of Native American culture makes for a rich read. An absolutely delightful story with a romance overlay. A perfect combination. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great romance! Satisfying story!, March 31, 2011
This review is from: A Find Through Time (Paperback)
This is a great time travel romance with interesting characters that draw you into the story and into their lives. It would be nice to read a sequel. As for the history part, there's just enough to keep it real, but not enough to make bored. Definitely worth reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars great read, November 18, 2006
This review is from: A Find Through Time (Paperback)
If you love Native American stories mixed with reality and fiction this is a great book where reincarnation, the Native culture and the story of the Battle of the Little Big Horn are seen through the eyes of a forensic artist who is sent back in time. I thought the book was well written and I enjoyed it.
