5.0 out of 5 stars Short Essays of Wisdom from a Deep Thinker, January 22, 2000
This review is from: Find and Use Your Inner Power (Paperback)
Find and Use YOur Inner Power is a series of short essays on the effect of a person's thoughts on the conditions and experiences of his (her) life.

Each short essay brings an enlightening observation about the nature of life, which will change the reader's perspective about his situation.

To fully understand the premises that Dr. Fox discusses in this book, a reader would do better to start with THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, THE MASTER KEY TO LIFE, or POWER THROUGH CONSTRUCTIVE THINKING. This will acquaint the reader with the unique belief system Dr. Fox promulgates.

Reader: If you have nagging questions about the Bible and the reasons things are the way they are in life, you will find this and other Emmet Fox books to be very helpful in working out your own personal puzzle.

This book, like Dr. Fox's other works, are the bases for the works of Napoleon Hill, Anthony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, and Dale Carnegie.

If you read and follow the beliefs in this book, you will experience a change in your outer conditions, as Dr. Fox promises.

This review is from: Find and Use Your Inner Power (Paperback)
I love all Emmet Fox' books and will recommend them to anyone who is serious about living spiritually and growing every day! What is special about this book is the little essays that it's made of, one on each page. They are simple, direct and funny.....some of them are great stories. They can be read independantly, which makes this book a wonderful one to carry around, for a quick reminder anywhere. Enjoy :o)

5.0 out of 5 stars A life changing, spiritual awaking, book., April 28, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Find and Use Your Inner Power (Paperback)
This book will give you answeres to the universe, as well as answer soul searching questions, such as 'why are we here' and 'what is my purpose in life'. This book is great to keep by your bed side and read a page or two every night before falling asleep. It will bring you an inner peace and a connection with God that will amaze you. The author, Dr. Fox, gives better advice than Ann Landers. His helpful advice will change your mental attitude for the better. You would never know this book was written before 1935, when the information is so helpful for 1997 and beyond.

This review is from: Find and Use Your Inner Power (Paperback)
A practical roadmap to achieve balance in life. The contents of the book are timeless, they are based on solid principles that don't change with time or circumstances. It is a very inspirational book, even if you read only a few pages at the time. You can always come back to it and find a new inspirational truth. Recommended to all.

Emmet Fox is inspirational, earthy and straight-to-the-point. He won't coddle you or support emotional self-pity; but he'll offer succinct, elegant direction on whatever spiritually ails ya. Kind of like a straight-shootin' Anglo version of Norman Vincent Peale. One of the first-ever New Agers to hit the circuit, he culled the cream and poured it on these pages for everyone's benefit. Thanks, Emmet!

I was delighted to find this little gem again! A friend had given me this book of meditations over three decades ago to help me through a rough time. I passed it along to another friend in need. The simple wisdoms of Emmet Fox are wonderful meditation material to navigate the day - and my spiritual journey. I recommend it for anyone on a spiritual quest.

This book is full of inspiration. If you're life is a little hectic at the moment & getting you down or flustered, then one of the treasures to be found in this book is peace & who better than Emmet Fox to teach you just how to achieve this in his own easy, simple & inimitable way.

You'll discover a new gem of divine wisdom on each page, try just one every day if you like, but like me you probably won't be able to put the book down once you've started. Emmet has a cure for all of our problems, fears & worries on each page. Nice short easy to digest stories that you can put into practice instantly.

Although it's 80 years old the book & the message is very clear & easy. If you read this before "The Power Through Constructive Thinking" then make that your next choice!

Reading this book happened because I love to read. I read an article last year which had only a couple of references to Emmet Fox. I began research on him and loved what I found. I had to read this book and was blown away at his words. This is highly recommended!

Emmet Fox (July 30, 1886-August 13, 1951) was a New Thought spiritual leader of the early 20th century, famous for his large Divine Science church services held in New York City during the Great Depression.

This rich resource is for everyone seeking more happiness and success in life. It reads like a devotional. The author offers enduring spiritual truth and practical advice for mining the gold to be found in our daily lives. And even though this was written many years ago, it is so relevant for today.

Fox's method is friendly and easy to read. These commonsense suggestions illustrate how to get the most out of our life and provide new spiritual strength to those who use his techniques for personal meditation.

Fox's secretary was the mother of one of the men who worked with Alcoholics Anonymous co-founder Bill W., and partly as a result of this connection early AA groups often went to hear Fox. His writing, especially "The Sermon on the Mount," became popular in AA.

His objective, as a New Thought teacher has always been, not to establish yet another religion, not to establish yet another set of religious doctrines, but to encourage individuals, whether they attend church or not, to develop their own creative power and to personally understand what God is, and what God is all about, and then to be able to relate that to their own lives. His message was simple and direct.

Knowledge is power! He said, "Sooner or later you will have to put God first in your life, God must become the only thing that really matters. It need not be and better not be the only thing in your life, but it must be the first thing." He said, "when that happens your life becomes simple, richer and infinitely more worthwhile." He brought new meaning to millions of people around the globe with his golden keys of health, inner peace and success.

He has great advice about how to deal with people and finding yourself! Read this book over and over again!
